While drying the dryer stops running every few minutes.
Some time ago the dryer hardly started. It was serviced by a technitian who replaced the electrical filter. The starting problem was solved, but the dryer started stopping and runnung. Each stop lasts for a few minutes.

Hi laylabetes - Answering your
question, there isn't a way to actually CLEAN the control panel. Depending on
an actual diagnose from a professional, the part would need replacing or if
possible repair. However, if your model is electric, turns and there is
no heat, it could possibly be a blown fuse. There are two house fuses that
supply voltage to your dryer circuit in your fuse box. If one of the two is
blown, the dryer may turn but will not heat. Check and replace fuse in fuse box
if necessary. Please feel free to reconnect if this does not resolve your issue

You have a motor that has a thermal overload built into it. This is for the dryer's protection. My best guess is to replace the motor. But before you do all that, make sure the wiring is good from the receptacle to the controls in the back of the dryer. It could not have a good connection thus causing this noise.
THE KENMORE DRYER I HAVE... IF REN IN THE COTTON CYCLE IT WILL RUN FOR 50 MINUTES AND SHUT OFF. ITS BOLWING HOT AIR AND THE OTHER CYCLES SEEM TO WORK FINE WITH OUT SHUTING DOWN SO ID APPRECIATE A TIP ON WHAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE
