That symbol means that the pin is the positive connection and the "C" shape is negative. You will need to find the right diameter plug as they can be different from one manufacturer to another. Also, look where you found the other info for a number in ma which is important.

Fail capacitors how to replace

If capacitors are electrolytic types, then they have polarity + and -, and always are a mark on the pc board and it could be marked with either the "+" symbol or "-" capacitor has a mark itself that denotes polarity also, the most common mark i have seen is "-" running from top all the way down at a side of cap, you just have to buy them same voltage and capacitance rating and install them verifying TWICE the correct polarity and you are done, Mouser electronics has a wide stock of electrolytics, but remember polarity otherwise you will get a very big pop.

I am using an mgear sustain pedal for my yamaha keyboard. The pedal usually works, though sometimes I have to flip the switch on the bottom of it, for whatever reason, to get it to actually sustain. But...

Since you didn't specify the model of the Yamaha I will take a good guess. MOST keyboards of all types default via their internal programming to use a pedal that is either a close circuit or open circuit switch. Basically it is two contacts from a wire that is connected (closed) or normally not connected (Open). When you press a pedal, the contacts either open or close. Your pedal has a switch that can choose either one. Now,.. the keyboard has some internal software that controls how the keyboard "sees" the pedal. It sounds to me that you have to get into the "control" section of the interface on the Yamaha and scroll to the "Pedal" polarity section. You might see it as a - (minus) or a + (plus) icon. See if you can make
one of them a default every time you power up. You see, every time you power up the keyboard, it is sensing something different. One last thought... or question...are you keeping the sustain pedal plugged in? or are you connecting and reconnecting it? The keyboard usually "remembers" or senses the polarity from the last power up. I have had similar issues with the Motif keyboards from Yamaha, but have remedied the issue by digging into the internal controls. Lastly, search the manual that came with your Yamaha. See if there is a section under Pedal or pedal polarity.

Buying a used Tascam 788. P.O. lost the power supply. How can I get a replacement? Couldn't find anything on TASCAM site.

Hi, Provided there is a tag on the back showing the units model number, on that same tag should be the power requirements for it-buying a universal power supply, or even a used working one to another piece of equipment is acceptable as long as the polarity is the same. Polarity is located right next to where the power supply plugs into the unit. It will be a " circle with a dash inside it with a line connecting to a C looking symbol with a line coming out of it connecting another circle with a plus sign inside. " that is a typical outer ground/inner positive marking. a power supply will be marked the same. If they match the polarities are the same. Next make sure the power supply says the proper DC voltage and Milliamps or amps-Ma/A example: 2400Ma, 2.4a. I hope this helps and thank you for asking FixYa, good luck and don't forget to write back and let me know how I did, Prodzilla.

I need my usb port replaced on my vestax vci-300. Can you help?

The electronics of a USB port is fairly robust. Why do you think the USB port needs replacing? Or do you just mean the connector... Even those are fairly robust and if they wiggle, they may just need to be resoldered to the circuit board.

Vestax vcm 100 driver traktor pro

hi, you need to go here:

and download the .tks file for your version of Traktor. Suggest you save it to the Traktor program directory.

Then within Traktor in the controller settings section, load the .tks file, save and you're good to go. Obviously you can tweak the configuration as much as you like once it's loaded. Suggest you always keep a backup of the original.

If the power connector on the back is a 3-pin socket then get a standard IEC power cable. If it is a small rounded socket then get the corresponding power supply. The unit pr user manual should give the correct specs on the required voltage, polarity, current consumption, etc.
