My Krups Superiore pull lever is broken again. It's always the same problem but I cannot seem to be able to remove the casing to replace the level. Can someone shed some light please?

Cannot remove/rotate the drum in a Krups superiore 894 expresso maker
because the function lever release key broke and the function lever is in the down position. How can I
disassemble/remove the drum from the rest of the expresso maker?

Here's I how was able to do it. I caution that this procedure may result in the molded snap locks breaking since they do not appear to have been designed to be removed.

1. Using a wide flathead screwdriver, I pulled the rubber grip ring from around the top of the rotating unit. This allows a better view of the edge of the removable silver top.
2. I popped the silver top off of the rotating unit and set it aside. It is held in place by four molded snap locks which are noting more than plastic u-shaped extensions which attach to corresponding hooks on the rotating unit.
3. Once the silver cap is removed, I used a 3/4" spade bit to bore a comfortable hole in the top of the unit. Be careful not to remove too much material or it will weaken the attachment points of the removable silver cap.
4. I passed a screwdriver through the new opening and pushed the plastic lever mechanism towards the broken release key. When looking at the inside of the rotating unit, you will notice a plastic knuckle resting close to the inside face of the release key. Just beneath this knuckle there is a horizontal slide with some circular holes in it.
5. By forcing this slide beneath the knuckle and towards the release key, you can raise the release lever and remove the rotating head.

I hope this helps.

No expresso coming out my krups superiore 894, water going straight to drip tray?

Hi,

Please make sure that your filter is cleaned out properly. Also, you can switch power outlets before attempting to make your espresso again.

Thank you.

Krups superior

I have just bought a Krups Superiore 894 second hand but the instruction manuel is of no use as the pictures are not clear and when you put the coffee in it just goes straight into the discarded coffee grounds holder when you turn the drum. The discarded coffee grounds holder then fills with water. Have I bought a dud?

I thought that my clutch cable broke on my 03 Road King Classic. After pulling the lever, the clutch is still engaged. I took the dipstick out of the side case and saw that the cable moved while pulling...

The only small lock ring that I can think of is the one that holds the throw out bearing on the end of teh clutch release rod. it's a vrery tiny O-ring, about an 1/8" indiameter. Everything is alright unless you pull your clutcth and you pull the clutch release rod out. Then you have to pull the other side of the transmission case to put the new bearing back and trhrust plae,

How do I dismantle the grinder

I can remove the bean container by pulling off the grind selector knob and removing the only screw.
Then remove the scute for the cleaning tablets. Then remove the two screws that were covered by the scute. Remove the water tank. Under the tank remove the two screws.
Then the trick where everyone seems to look for: The facade of aluminum can be moved off. Set the machine on the floor and pull hard upwards at the facade. This comes off (pull hard!) and four screw are uncovered. Remove them and pull then back housing of the machine (remove first the containers/drawers). Now the inner parts are freely accessible. Take photos and remove the components from top till bottom to get to the bad parts that need replacement. Good luck!

Krups XP7240 leaks

The grind selector knob can be removed with the following steps: 1) Remove screw on side near grinder (do not let the screw fall into grinder, :-) ), 2) use sharp knife or similar to pry off cover with three dots. This should be easy. 3) Now you can rotate the grind selector and see that the white clear plastic does not rotate and the black does. There are two little pieces (one black, one clear plastic) on opposite side from grinder that slide over eavh other to keep this knob 'locked' into place. 4) again with a sharp pointed knife or similar you can separate these two pieces to 'unlock' them. This is made easier by lifting the side of the bean holder by the grinder gently and tipping it up. Be careful not to force anything too much. The black part should pop off. 5) Now you can lift off the clear bean holder.

After this good luck. We made it farther into the machine, but could never get to where we needed to go to fix our problem.

Krups must be congratulated for designing a machine that cannot be repaired and must be replaced with new purchases.

Krups XP7240, power button seems to be broken. How do I fix this.

Release and remove front panel pulling it up. Then remove two upper screws. Gently unfasten control panel cover, unscrew electronics, buttons etc. There is a plastic sprue which forwards pressing force down to microswitches. Probably sprue is cracked. Just glue it, add some more plastic to strengh it.
