The rubber ring/seal was punctured while attempted to unclog drain. Can the ring be patched or replaced? And generally how expensive to replce the rubber piece?
Thanks.

Clogged sunroof drain

there are 2 drain ports about the diameter of a pencil. these drains are connected to a rubber hose that runs all the way down to the sub frame. in the past I have unclogged them with compressed air, or water and a straw using good ol lung power. also where water drains from under vehicle there are rubber nipples you can run a wire through to help unclog. you do not need new sunroof those shops especially dealerships are trying to rip you off. sunroofs are designed to let water pass by seal to drains. the reason for this is because its to hard to keep a complete and true seal around a overhead window, but when the drains become clogged you experience what you and myself are dealing with, my own 2003 Yukon denali does the same exact thing, I just haven't had time to get to it yet. I have fixed plenty in the past, and all makes drain in almost the same way. as far as your headlight goes, a little silicone around edge of lens meeting place you will see old sealant from factory. hope this helps helps thanx

Front door rubber seal

Fairly easy to do. It is held on with 2 wire rings, one on the outside edge of the seal when you open the door and when that is removed there is another one holding it to the outer drum. Removal of the lid may also help with removal of the inner ring. When refitting you press the lip of the seal over the outer drum edge and fit the retaining ring back and then do the same on the front where the door meets the seal. Just make sure the small drain holes in the seal are located at the bottom, best to look at the old one to see how it's fitted before you remove it.

The best way to fix a puncture is with gorilla glue and any sort of water proof material. Just make sure the patch is completely sealed around the puncture

Hi, can u show me how to clean my washer to get rid of that moldy smell. there's also mold around the rubber ring around the opening and it feels slimy. Can u please help

First you should reach deep into the front door seal and run your fingers around. There is probably slime in there. You will need to thoroughly clean this with a bleach water mix about 50-50. You might need to pull the seal almost inside out to get in there good. If after scrubbing you still have black in the rubber the mold will come right back, in that case you will need to replace the seal. They are not to hard to replace but a little tricky. Here is a link that should help if you need to replace the seal or if the wire ring pops off when cleaning. Now if all cleans up well or you replaced it be sure to wipe out the seal after each use (deep in there) and /or leave the door open.

If the seal is clean and no mold present and it still smells then you likely have a clogged drain pump filter or pump. Here is a link that should help cleaning a drain pump or try this one for cleaning a ge drain pump filter and this one for cleaning/replacing a Kenmore drain pump

Leaking water when using my k cup

Long story short, it will leak from under the screw cap (rarely) and from the rubber ring around the puncture pin. The grounds clog the metal filter and creates pressure that escapes from under that rubber ring. I cut a thin styrofoam plate to fit under the screw cap. It's really snug for the first few times, then it will loosen up. Second is to tighten the seal between the top of the 'my cup' and that rubber seal. I used 2 styrofoam rings that sit between the 'my cup' and the hard plastic it sits on when you fit it in the hole. It bring the cup like 1/8 inch higher to the pin and increases that seal. I made many cups after that and it has never leaked. I'm looking for a good rubber ring to fit around the 'my cup' to replace the rings for the seat.

Radiator drain plug wont seal back up on my 05 dodge ram cummins

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 and to fix this problem I removed the drain plug being careful not to damage the plastic housing. I drilled through the center of the drain plug so that I would not have to use force to get it out and crack the plastic housing. After you get it out you will see that there is a rubber washer that is used to seal the drain. NAPA sells a drain plug that will work to replace the stock plug. The part #605-1278 comes on a card that says for Ford/GM. but it worked perfectly for me.

Final Spin Cycle Not Working

I unclogged the pump, it was really easy, and it fixed my problem (I have no mechanical know how)! let me explain how I did it!  I have the Frigidaire Front loader for two years, it was acting funny, wouldn't spin, wouldn't drain. My solution was quick and simple, per a solution already mentioned on this site.  In short, The rubber drain was clogged.  There were two cotton breast pads, that must have been in there for months.  Recently my washing machine would not drain, and therefore wouldn't even think about spinning fast.  To unclog, first take off the front bottom panel.  (There are two tight screws on the front bottom, next to the floor, I had to use a powerdrill to remove them, and tilt the machine against the wall to get to them).  Next, there was a black rubber accordian on the front right, where the water drains.  (remeber to unplug your washing machine, to avoid any shock or such!)  I simply unscrewed the big metal ring, (I think it's called a gasket). After unscrewing the metal ring, I could easily pull the rubber accordian down 2 inches, stick my hand in it, and pull out debris.  I pulled out debris for about 5 minutes, and was so excited because I knew my washer would work great again.  I simply put the rubber accordian part back on the lip, screwed the ring piece pretty tight. I used a towel to absorb a small amount of water, that got inside the washing machine.  Now, it is spinning a million miles per hour again.  I will put the rectangular bottom front panel back on in a few days, I just want to double check, there is no leak, which there is no reason to suspect, as removing and putting the metal ring back on was easy!.
