Numeric keypad affecting laptop

Pluged in my new NX USB Numeric Keypad Model #NNBKEYPAD (09A08) to my laptop and now when I try to type documents instead of typing letters it types numbers. I have tried unplugging device but still same problem. Obviously I am not using my laptop to request assistance.

- Found it after sending last message as I noticed light on by built in mouse so experimented and it worked. Thanks.

Another common problem. The drivers of the numeric keypad always confuse the NUM lock button. Try playing with the numlock and also if it does not work, try reinstalling the drivers.

- You need to use the driver CD that you initially used (if at all you installed it yourself).

Your laptop has a numlock key. Depending on your laptop model, you might have to press and hold the Fn key when pressing the numloack.
