You will need to send the unit back to them for reprogramming. Why? Because not only will they be loading the application and the settings, they will be setting up the master key for the debit transactions. That last step has to be done in a special room at the processor. You can not load that yourself. Depending on the processor, each terminal may be loaded with a different master key.

Wrong!1,alphaalpha66831 should do it. This person is simply asking to remove tips, server, etc. It does not need to be reprogrammed, Most of these types of things can be done in either the 6 menu, the Enter menu from Softpay or the F2&F4 menu settings without reprogramming. And you definitely don't want to call yet another scam artist retail ISO dude who just wants to scare you or scam you into switching because of a programming issue.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Depending if your terminal is on the IDLE PROMPT SCREEN or the VMAC SCREEN... you would select SETTLE on your terminal. If there is a password it should 1 alpha alpha 66831 (default pwd by Verifone). Then proceed with confirming the totals on the screen by pressing the GREEN "Enter" KEY

System Password not working.

Hi cbeyer286,

First off.. please make sure you post your questions to the proper forum for your model terminal - your question will receive an answer much more quickly. :)

These machines aren't like a laptop where you can reload the OS onto them if they get messed up. The base software is loaded on ROM internally, so you can always wipe the terminal and start from scratch. Companies (like yours) can then build application specific files to load into them.

Here is the standard way of accessing the programming-level menu which will allow you to wipe the memory and enter the proper download parameters for the file you want to load.

  1. Press the F2 and F4 keys at the same time.
  2. You will see a prompt for "system password"
  3. Press: 1,alpha, alpha, 6, 6, 8, 3, 1, Enter
This will bring you to the system menu. From here you can scroll down to System Menu Screen #2 where you can Clear RAM and flash the RAM files. From there your company can treat the terminal as a blank slate ready to program.

Good Luck!

Verifone Nurit 8000s need to turn off auto batching

Depending on your processor there are 2 locations.

1: Menu then 4 Host parameters the autodial utility.

2: Menu then 2 merchant parameters then setbatch time.

Password is if you have new Nurit NOS meaning Operating system.

Try DDMM format current day and month if that doesnt work

then MMDDYYYY format should work.

Hope it helps.

I need to batch out my verifone tranz 380 machine.

if not too late.

All processor applications are different but for the most part the steps are similar.

At themain screen first print detail report. Pass word is usually 1 Alpha Alpha 66831.
Then back at the main screen hit 9 then usually 1 right after it should dial out and
settle out your transactions. Hope this helps.

System password is universal UNLESS your merchant account provider has changed it to their own internal one.

Universal is 1 then the little black alpha key above number 2. Hit that Alpha key twice it will look like nothing happens but that one just changed to a z. then 66831 and enter that is the system password.

So 1 ALPHA ALPHA 66831 and then the enter key.

too run the terminal in offine or store & forward mode your account provider needs to enable it for you if it is enabled try this first. At the main sale screen:

Hit number 2 by itself if it says batch ayth or store & forward turn it on then you are in offline mode meaning it will not dial out for Authorizations. You must however when you get to a phone line you must hit settlement and it says you have offline trnasactions do you wish to upload choose yes. Each trans ran in offline mode will get a live approval and then when all is approved you will get a settlement report.

PLEASE YOU ARE TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILTY IF THAT CARD IS NOT A GOOD CARD DECLINES/FRAUDS IS ALL THE MERCHANTS RESPONSIBILTY.
