Question about Tecnik 24 in. TKD795/3 Built-in Dishwasher

Tecnik Built In Dishwasher SE6TIE1GB/17

Just moved to a place that has this dishwasher but don't have a manual for it. The previous owners said that the washer worked fine. The water is conected to it and all lights come on when I press the main switch on.

When I open and then close the door and then press the ON switch, at top left of the door, a red light on the right side shows "END". When I press any of the other switches to the right of this (I assume these are the programme settings as they show 3 different items that can be washed at different temperature) - they light up - but when I close the door the machine does not start. The ex owners are no longer in the UK - so can't ask their help. Any idea how to get the machine going?

You can try reseting the machine buy holging down outside two cycle buttons for 3 seconds, then release. After a minute the end light should come on. Then use as normal. If this fails pull the unit out, then take of the side panels (screws to the front in the seal) & check the red anti-flood float on the left side of the machine, to make sure it is not up activating the cut out switch. This may be due to the machine leaking somewhere and the float raises and activates the switch, or as in my case a build up of limscale has raised it up enough to activate it.

Hope this helps

I was told that my Tecnik SE6TIE1GB/17 Dishwasher is a bosch. I have seen the news today that some models have been recalled can you tell me the full E-NR number please

The recall is only for freestanding or semi intergrated d/w. If your control panel is along the top of the door it is not subject to the recall.

I need to remove this dishwasher from the cupboard housing - how do I do it and what problems can I expect

You can expect a lot anything when it comes to plumbing. The water line could be tough to remove to value.. If you don't have any problems of tearing up your dishwasher it shouldn't be that tough. Just make sure you have the water shut off to the dishwasher.

After a power cut the unit will not function. Previously it worked fine. It is a Tecnik Type S9J1TI dishwasher

i would be of the oppinion you have suffered a power surge and most of the curcuits are fried in my oppinion you need to replace the unit if it can be proven it was a surge your power company by law must pay to replace it to do this you need a pro tech to certify it was a surge (power spike) or if you have home contents insurance its covered by them as well

sorry

good luck
