When I sqeeze the trigger for relase of cleaner, nothing happens. I can see the rotating indicator not moving. I cleaned it out and all of the exterior openings. How can I get into the suspected clogged tubes?

I too have the same problem, no cleaning solution or water coming out when I squeeze the trigger. The flow indicator does not spin. How do I clean out the tubes and where do I find them?

First clean the Flow Indicator filter. Turn the Flow indicator cap counter-clockwise to remove it. Lift the rotor and the filter under it out. Clean the filter and reinstall in reverse order. Make sure you have unplugged the unit before working on it. Then clean the lint filter on the heat tank cap (it looks like a screen) and reinstall it. There's not much more to these so if that doesn't work call the Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7691

Hoover floormate fh40160 won't dispense solution

Hi there! Sometimes it is necessary to prime the trigger to get the solution flowing. Try these quick steps.

1. Recline the handle.
2. Pump the trigger vigorously about 60 times.
3. Power the cleaner on and squeeze the trigger for 60 seconds.

The cleaner should start to dispense the solution. Be sure you are using only the recommended cleaning solution to avoid internal damage. If your Floormate is still not dispensing there could be an issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner in to a Hoover authorized service center for repair. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. Service Center Locator

Hope this helps!

Vax problems

Hi, it's Jeremy from Crucial Vacuum.

There are a few potential solutions you should try. First, check to make sure that the is nothing blocking the fluid on both ends of the liquid reservoir. Check to make sure there is nothing blocking the inside of your reservoir preventing the liquid from traveling out of the dispenser. If nothing is there, then check the other end of the reservoir on the outside of it where the liquid flows out to make sure nothing is blocking the flow. If each of these solutions do not work, the issue may be related to the trigger mechanism. The trigger may not actually be functioning and may need to be replaced. To determine this remove the reservoir and pour liquid straight through the dispenser and see if it comes out. If it does, the issue is most likely the trigger and you will simply need to swap it out for a new one.

The machine turns on and the indicator seems to be spinning but the water is not moving.

Operating the trigger does not dispense water into the spinning brushes - is that the problem?

If so, remove the clean water tank and look in the opening behind the black grommet that seal the water tank. Operate the trigger and look to ensure that the valve is operating (moves downward when trigger is pulled). If it does not move, the trigger shaft is stuck or broken and will need to be repaired.

Steamvac will not stop dispensing cleaner. Once I pull the trigger it starts to dispence liquid and will not stop even when I release the trigger.

This sounds like a faulty solenoid that may be intermittantly working. I would take it to a repair shop for evalualtion

Bissell Carpet Cleaner pro heat- water doesnt come out

The screw that is located in the center of the handle, that holds the assecory hose holder must be tight. My screw was missing, put one in and cured the problem. Sounds stupid but it worked. Got this idea off the Bissell web site. Also if you have a pump belt it may need replacing. The cover is on the side of the machine. Go to the Bissell web site and look up by your model # and name of machine. There are several quick fixes that you can do yourself. Why pay for expensive repairs when the Bissell site will help you for free. Good luck.

Flow Indicator Not Moving, Not Dispensing Anything

The water tank and the solution tank both have red gaskets that attach to the bottoms of the tanks. Make sure they are on properly, I just had the same problem and spent hours taking apart the machine and inspecting lines to find out it was a gasket.

On my machine the red gasket for the solution got stuck in the chasis for the machine. The bissel website alludes to this, but isn't very clear.

Other posters talk about the heaters, or the lines being clogged and I immediatley inspected these areas, turns out it was a gasket that was hiding in the chasis. Both the water tank and the solution tank should have one, and make sure they don't get nestled in the chasis!

Flow Indicator Not Moving, Not Dispensing Anything

Does water squiret out of the hose, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle to see if it is clogged where the 2 water lines hook to it. The other reason, you may ghave a bad pump. But check the back edge to make sure the top isn't coming loose from the base. Check the bottom of the tank to be sure round seal is on the tank on the cap and valve. Sometimes they come off and wind up in the hole.
