hello, you just have a shared memory with the on-board ati graphics, if it's on- board graphic card it shares the system memory-most are adjustable through the system bios-in 64,128,256 settings. and if you put more memory, in most cases it will automatic-raise the memory size of the graphics memory. i hope this helps you, all the best. if you need further assistance reply. don't forget to rate this solution.
This is a long shot but set your BIOS to default and try I have installed windows XP on machines with only 256MB ram had to change disk a few times but got it done Your should have sufficient ram not to I think you have a M/board conflict try removing everything except what you need to install windows
If you can afford it i'd look at trying another stick of 256 or a new 512 stick, XP doesn't really like anything under 512 and it pretty much won't run at all with 128, so if you can get it cheaply try that first if that doesn't fix it let me know
