MY V4000 ony runs when i tilt the while unit the left side has to be at least 3inches higher than the right if lowered it stops booting or after booting freezes when lowered until picked up again?

- Pc was only lightly used for one year ,I have checked fan speed and temprature all fine when runningI found that pressure on the memory card hoder also makes it run

- Hey had the exact same problem, I had th change the motherboard to solve this issue. after doing research, I found there was a design flaw for the airflow, and had to clean all around the processor it was full of dust soI am figuring the excess ehat damaged teh motherboard. - garret515Mar 07, 2009

how old is the machine? Sounds like it might be time for a new drive. Try this download Speedfan and click on the SMART tab and have it run a full diagnostic test. The part i am concerned with is the drive spinup. Sounds like the motor might be going out. Or you just have a loose connection in the machine somewhere.
