Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Sound on videos moves ahead of the pictures

I use DVD shrink to put my movies on my pc and than transefer them to my GoGear SA60XX. The video files get split up into 3 or 4 files depending on the movie's length and they all normally work fine but lately the sound in the first file of every movie starts when the blue screen about not copying disks comes on and up way ahead of the pictures. This happens with movies that I've had on my player before and never had a problem with. When I play them on my computer they work fine so do you know why my player suddenly has this problem?

The latest firmware upgrade resolves some video playability issues, but it will erase the contents of your GoGear in the process, so you would have to reload the files.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I want to put movies on my GoGear Vibe and I don't know how to. I need it on my GoGear Vibe by 5pm on February 23, 2011. I need help NOW!

After I searched for you with google, I found your Gogear only support WMV video format, I think you can use Leawo Video Converter to convert your movie to wmv with 640*480 resolution is best for your mp3 player. You can free download it in here: http://www.leawo.com/leawo-video-converter/

Greetings, You "can" get videos on your GoGear, but here is what you'll have to do.
Covert your movie using the GoGear Converter first! Once the movie has been converted, it will then go into your GoGear Video file.
Click on the file & plug in your ear-phone & you are at the movies!

Good Luck

How do you put videos onto an 8gb gogear philips mp3 player?

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert and transfer video files to the Philips GoGear. Because the software likes to play a preview of the movie, you may have to download additional codecs to make it work. Copyright-protected or DRM-encrypted video files are not compatible with the GoGear.

Dvd does not play

Three problems - the Media Converter will not correctly convert videos over 15 minutes long, it will not recognize the DVD's file structure, and it cannot play copyright-encrypted video files. This player is more for YouTube-style videos. Here is a workaround:
1) Use video editing software to break the DVD file into 15-minute chunks
2) Run the chunks through Riva FLV Encoder - convert it to AVI format, and make sure sound is enabled
3) Run the Riva-converted chunks through the Philips Media Converter
4) You can now watch your movie in 15-minute chunks - I hope you chose filenames that allow the files to be played in sequential order

Have fun!

Converting things

Try to convert them to you local disc first and then move them to the gogear. This is what I do with media converter for philips.
Instead of choosing current device choose folder. When converted try to view the movie first with your media player. The gogear apears as a dics when you browse my computer and you can then copy/move the files to the appropriate folder on it. Make sure that movies, pictures and mp3 files are in the right folder on the gogear.
