Question about Lithonia Lighting Psq500 Power Sentry Inverter Charger
I have an emergency light power pack that I think is no good. Here's the problem. If I turn off the breaker the battery kicks and the lights come on, however, during normal operation the light fixture does not light up. Is there some kind of ballast in the psq500 that could be interrupting the flow of power while under normal operation? I already replaced the fixtures regualr ballast. Any ideas? Thanks.

If your emergency ballast is new and the battery is charged, then you must recheck your wiring and make sure you have wired the emergency ballast correctly and for the right type of ballast.

SOURCE: no power to lighting ballast
Follow the appropriate wiring exactly. There are about 6-8 different diagrams. Find your lamp type and number of lamps. Locate your ballast type (usually instant these days) Quite often these diagrams show a switch on the power lead going to the operating ballast. If it isn't on a switch be sure to wire it in with the lead to the emergency battery ballast.
