I work for a non profit organization, and we recently had an organization donate several computers to us. Obviously, the computers have been wiped clean. I have a M60 that I was trying to install software on. The disk will boot up, but the keyboard will not respond..it appears to be locked. Is there a lock on this keyboard? or do we most likely have a bad keyboard on the computer.

It's probably the wrong screen, cable ,or inverter; in spite of what the repair shop tells you .
Also, sometimes the cable gets pinched if not installed carefully, or the cable connector may need to be re-seated.
Is your laptop a Dell Precision M60 ? I'll see which screen it's supposed to have.
Check there is no proxy server in internet explorer
Click Tools --> Internet options
Click Connections Tab
Click Lan Settings
Make sure "Use a proxy server for your LAN" is not checked
Check "Automatically Detect Settings"
Click OK and OK
If this doesn't work check there are no values set for IP addresses in
Start --> (Settings) --> Control Panel --> Network Connections
Right Click your Wireless Connection --> select Properties
Scroll down to TCP/IP in the centre box and Click it to select
Click properties and chose "Obtain Automatically" for both IP and DNS
At the left of your power button, past the word PRECISION, there is a
slot for a screwdriver. With the screen fully open, use that slot to
remove the power and volume buttons. At the other end of the stip you
removed will be the connector that connects the buttons to the
motherboard. Reconnect it better. I had this problem too.
