I lost my label tag for whirlpool refridgerator. I remember the year was made 1992 but don't remember the model number. It is a side by side fridge. Can someone provide a possible model number for me?...

Hey John,

Do you have your manual? There are about 5 billion Fridges with the exact measurements you gave! You know its a whirlpool from the 90's....have you gone to the whirlpool web site and checked there?

This is what I found there:

What part do you need?

Whirlpool refridgerator is leaking water on the freezer side (side by side refridgerator) onto the floor. The ice machine was overflowing with ice and has frozen ice in the ice maker that won't budge. We...

WAS IT LEAKING FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FROM BOTTOM OF FRIDGE? ONCE IN A WHILE YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE ICE BIN AND DUMP ICE OUT AND CLEAN IT. HOW CAN THE ICE MACHINE OVERFLOW WITH ICE WHEN THE ICE IN THE TRAY WON'T BUDGE? NEED CLARIFICATION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE A BAD ICE MAKER MODULE OR THE SOLENOID FOR THE ICE ON THE WATER VALVE IS BAD.

Whirlpool gold:upper half of refridgerator side not cold

Either the evap fan has a problem, or the defrost system has failed. You should never see frost in the freezer section as the defrost sensor should sense that the coils need to be defrosted before that much frost accumulates.

Unplugging to clean out helped because the frost got a chance to melt away.

If you find the evap motor is running, then the things to check are the defrost sensor, the defrost timer, and the defrost heater.

Reply back if you would like more info.
