Is this a ps/2 mouse, a usb mouse, or a wireless mouse? (If it's wireless, is a bluetooth, RF, or InfraRed? (Do they even make those any more??)) Is it an optical mouse, or does it have a little roller ball in it? Anyway, hear from you soon...Also, what do you have to do to get it to work again? Reboot the PC?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Try taking the batteries out of the mouse and let the receiver find the keyboard first, then once the keyboard is found put batteries back in mouse and let the receiver find the mouse.

Can you notice if the mouse stops when using a certain program or while you've been on the pc for a length of time. When hardware stops it could be conflicts with other programs, a driver issue, battery. If your mouse worked without problems not long ago I'd first try a system restore back to the time when it worked. To do a restore click on programs, accessories, system tools and the system restore. Pick a day on the calendar before when the mouse was working and let the pc restore back to that time. It will restart then see if it works for you.
Thanks,
Henry

Left click on wireless mouse stopped working

Try taking the back off your mouse and cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and some alcohol. I would bet the other wheels inside your mouse could use a cleaning as well. Your mouse should work fine after you clean it.

or

if the left click dont work then it doesnt work unless there is a small fault in there. Can you here the click when you press it?

Truthly mouse and keyboards do not need drivers. So uninstalling and reinstalling will not do anything apart from taking up your time.

If you replace your mouse you will NOT have to get a new keyboard if you want. I have looked on the site that you gave for another mouse and truthly its up to you which one you want to get.

Hope this helps.
