I have a thumping noise coming from the front end and when I turn right it seems to get louder. Just changed the drivers side hub assembly and the cv joint problem is still there. What could it be?

I'm having the same problem with my 2006 Chevy 2500 duramax...The humming starts at 25mph and then gets less prominent and then at 50mph it gets more prominent and louder, then at 60mph you can hardly hear it.....I did notice a little bit of leakage where the front axel meets the from diff on the drivers side.
Any suggestions?

a loud pop is either cv axle or ball joint so i would try ball joints or could be a-arm bushings also

this noise sounds like your right cv axle. wou might want to have that checked out, they can do great damage if broken while

You must replace wheel bearings in pairs to avoid loading the old bearing and, in time ruining your new bearing hub it is possible that you have already damaged the new hub

I say it's the CV joints. You have to jack up under the lower A-Arm, to take the spring pressure off of it, to check them.
(Use jack stands, and wheel chocks behind the rear tires. Emergency brake On. Work on a hard level surface. Be SAFE! Trucks can be replaced, YOU cannot!)
