Acer 5315 dont open. black screen appears

I have a problem in my aspire 5315 everytime i turn it on a black screen always shows.i can only browse thru internet by using TASK MANAGER.... what should i do? cant see the start button the background.. maybe there is something i can do.

Sounds like a registry problem. Are you running XP or Vista? When you go to task manager, click on File /Run. Type the word "explorer" without the quotes...Does the start bar come up?

There are two ways to reset the Acer Aspire 5315 notebook to factory setting which also means to reset it to the original setting.

The first way to reset the Acer Aspire 5315 to factory setting:

  1. Log-in as Administrator (if you have more that one account on your notebook).
  2. Go to Start.
  3. Select All Programs.
  4. Then select Accessories.
  5. Press System Tools.
  6. After that, press on System Restore.
  7. A page will appear, press Restore My Computer.
  8. Next, press next to continue.
  9. A message will appear, press Ok.
  10. Press next to confirm the restore point.
  11. The system will be restored.
  12. Restart the notebook.



The second way to reset the Acer Aspire 5315 to factory setting.
  1. Turn on the Acer notebook.
  2. Wait for a few seconds until you see the 'startup' process appears on the screen.
  3. As soon as you the 'startup' on the screen, press Alt+F10 for about five times.
  4. This will set the notebook automatically to factory setting.

I used my acer aspire 5315 and restored to factory default using empowering technology and now everytime i start up it keep trying to reinstall the restore programe that came with the computer

There are two basic ways to restore Acer 5315 PC Notebook to the original setting. The first method you can try to pressing the key Alt + F10 for 5 times while startup process appears on the Acer screen. Usually this way will restore the original setting automatically.
And the next method you may need to use system restore at the first time you’ve got your Acer 5315 laptop. Here are steps to follow:
Log on as the Administrator => Start => All Programs => Accessories => System Tools => and click the System Restore. System restore will run and here you should see the Welcome System Restore page appear. Click Restore my computer button to an early time if it’s not already
selected. Click next to continue the steps.
There is on your Acer 5315 laptop screen a Restore Point page appear, you can select it and then click the most recent system checkpoint it, click a restore point list. After you click the Next button, System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that
System Restore will create. Click OK.
For the last step click next button on the Confirm Restore Point Selection page. Now the ‘System Restore’ will restore the previous Windows XP configuration on your Acer 5315 OS system. Just finish it by restarts your Acer laptop.
Now log on again to your Acer 5315 PC Notebook as Administrator and watch the System Restore Restoration Complete page

Its freezing

1st of all clean ur pc from viruses by using gud antivirus and then install reginout to clean ur registry error will hope u dnt get this problem next time if ur system again giving this problem then change ur browser

Need to Restore My Acer Aspire 5315

Turn on your laptop...as soon as it turns you push thepower botton start pressing F8, this will take you to the system recovery screen. You will need to pick the option that says system restore. Dont pick the option that says restore to a restore point, you will need to pick the one that say destructive restore. usually u get this option by pressing the advanced options. It will give you a warning about the system being reformatted...are you sure...yada yada yada... click ok and it should reformat the system and then reinstall the original facotry software
