2003 year model.mx3900d/37.standby light blinks from red to green and clicks loudly from the are where the power cord goes into the back of the unit.will not power up.has not display on front.problem happened when the power blinked off and then on.no lightning ijn the area.removed printed circuit board where noise is coming from and clicking is coming from a white relay?markings on relay are DEG,OZ-SS-112L.COULS THIS BE MY PROBLEM OR IS THIS RELAY SOMETHING THAT IS NO ALLOWING THE UNIT TO POWER UP SO TO PROTECT THE REST OF THE UNIT?thanks for all and any help someone could give me.see ya' Bill

a blinking or pulsing power light usualy means a problem with the power supply. Check for burned resistors or swallen capacitors on the power board it will be the one with the one with the main power running to it.
Very likely that the internal thermal fuse opened on the main power transformer. With the power cord unplugged, Check the resistance on the ac input of the transformer should read less than 10 ohms. Contact me when you know. I might be able to find one.
I had the same problem, red blinking light after owning for several years. I decided to replace the capacitor at C914 to see if it would work, and it did. Apparently that capacitor is prone to failure. Since this seems to be a common problem, I created a web page detailing the repair. Hope it is helpful. Repair cost $1.39 + tax.
DVD reset procedure for TH-A10
1. Make sure there is no Disc in the tray.
2. Disconnect the power cord.
3. While Pressing "Stop" and "Open/Close" buttons together reconnect the power cord
4. Front display will show "TEST0".
5. Then the display will change to : "TEST1 JC2".
6. Press "Enter" button on the remote, display will show "EEPROM"
7. Press "Power" to shut unit off.
8. Reset is finished
