This sounds like a hardware problem, unless your battery is dead. try removing the battery out, connect the adapter and turn on?

A problem like this is often a power problem. If your battery is almost dead and you don't have a good power connection, the laptop might attempt to come on but then quickly shut down again. You should check all of the power cord connections. Is it connected well in the back of the laptop and at the wall? Some power cords also come apart in the middle, so you should check there, too. Also, are you actually plugged in to a live outlet? If it is a surge protector, the power switch might be off.

Hopefully your problem is this simple. If not, you probably have some sort of hardware failure and will need to have a shop diagnose the problem.

    Turn everything off, modem, router and computer.

    Turn on the modem first and wait for a solid data/connect light.

    Turn on the router, give it two minutes.

    Still if problem presists you need to reset the router ..

    How to reset::
    Push and release the “Reset” button.
    The lights on the Router will momentarily flash.
    The “Power/Ready” light will begin to blink. When the “Power/Ready” light becomes solid again, the reset is complete

    One of the boards (module) has a short on it, and or the power supply itself is failing.
    The service center will find the fault using the process if elimination. They will replace the bad boards or modules as required to get the set working again.

    Wont start

    My solution (works every time) is to pull out the AC cord from back of computer. Then .. release the battery for several seconds only. Push battery IN again. THEN (presto) Push power-up button. It starts normally, every time. Then when you're ready just push the AC lead back in after it's started. Don't ask me why it works. It just does. It's like it needs the battery power to be isolated briefly and then re-applied. It works. I never bothered with warranty work. It's like an extra security feature. When it's off AC for a period -> that's the reliable starting method. Also, computer may be in hibernation mode. Hold the power down until you see a boot up screen (i f you can get to it)
