Question about Car Audio & Video
I have a 2005 VW Touran 2.0 tdi sport and want to add a Volkswagen 6 disc cd changer in the armrest. The radio cd in the dash is a RCD 300 according to the manual but what volkswagen changer is compatible with it? i've found many different vw part numbers for what looks to be the same unit so which one could i use? A dealer has told me i would have to use 1T0 057 110 or a 1T0 057 110A with a 1T0 051 592A cable. Why can i not install a 1J0 035 110 or anything else that has a different part number but looks the same?
What can i install and what do i need to get. Part numbers please.

Take both you vin and any serial numbers on the radio, cd player... like the one you have found, then take those to the dealership and they should be able to help you out. Hope that helps.

I have had the same problem with my Ford CD player, if you unhook the battery and let the entire system reset itself for approximately 10 min. or so and then rehook the battery and the CD that is stuck will either come out automatically or when you push eject. If you have not let the system off the battery long enough it does not work. Trust me I have had to do this more times than I can count.
