Question about Ricoh Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

I have a Ricoh Aficio 1224c, the illumination light indicating that there is a problem with the paper feed is remaining on even though there is no obstructions, this has been checked and cleaned carefully. With this indicator being on it stop the printer from printing as it is obviously showing up as a fault although there is no error code showing on the panel

There is likely a very small piece of paper, that may be very difficult, or even impossible to see, without some dis-assembly, or there has been an actuator dislodged in the jam removal process. Either way, you'll probably need a tech on this oe

I have some ricoh aficio 1224c with errors c481

SC481
Transfer belt mark detection error
• The main motor is operating; and
the lock signal is detected. → The
belt mark sensor signal does not
change for 120 milliseconds.
• Defective main motor
• Image transfer belt out of position
• Belt mark blurred or absent

I would remove the pcu unit (3 screws)and check the transfer assy belt mark and clean the sensor that reads the belt mark. Worst case senerio is replaceing the entire pcu unit.

Ricoh Aficio 1224c error code SC 544

Well, I have no idea why changing your password would affect it this way. the code you're experiencing is a fuser warm up error, due to blown fuse, thermostsat, possible power supply prob...regardless, it can only be reset by a service tech in service mode once the problem is fixed. Sorry.

Paper jam indication, but cannot find the paper that is jammed

I would check to see if the paper is even making it out of the tray. A lot of times, the feed rollers can get dirty, and the printer will display a jam if it doesn't feed in time. If the feed rollers look ok, then I would check and see if the feed rollers are even turning. Sometimes the motor that turns the feed rollers wears out.

Error code SC305 for Photocopier Ricoh Aficio 1224c

Its a charge corona cleaning error. Try turning the power off, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on.

If that doesn't reset it, it could be the pcu, toner collected on the mechanism.

If turning it off and back on isn't fixing it, you should get a technician to look at it to see what the trouble is.

Error code SC305 for copier ricoh aficio 1224c

Hi,
This SC code relates to the charge corona cleaner not working or not working properly. the charge corona is located towards the bottom left of the machine after opening the front cover. It will have a screw you can undo by hand and a cable with an end like a telephone cable plug. toner may have fallen in to the unit or the motor that drives the cleaner along the wires has decided to jam up. remove the charge corona and blow it out with compressed air. You can also remove the end of the unit and check that the motor is not gummed up. Be very careful you do not break the hair thin corona wires! Hope this helps.
