If are talking about the Express Card slot into which the ExpressCard TVTuners are installed, it should be located on the Left side of the Notebook.
Please go through page number 18 of 266 in the Manual of the Notebook which is available through the link below which shows you the exact location of the Slot :
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00530488.pdf

By the way, HP no more sells the ExpressCard TV Tuner Cards in HP Shopping.
Only USB TV Tuner Cards are available from HP.
However, you should be able to find Express Card TV Tuner Cards from other Manufacturers.

Hope this helps...

No tuner error on sony media center

Hi

The problem must be either because of Hardware or software. You are saying that you already tried installing new drivers and softwares for the tuner card and checked, but its bad luck. So it seems the hardware device may be failed. So first ensure the hardware working properly by plugging tuner card into any of your friends system. If it works properly, then it must be surely software problem. We can try installing any other version of device drivers and softwares and make it work.

Goood luck.

How to connect dish tv to my laptop? It has inbuilt tv tuner.

Your Lenovo laptop can be hooked up your TV if you have a model that is capable of TV output. Newer models with HDMI ports can easily connect to newer TVs that have HDMI input jacks. For older laptops or TVs, you will need other adapters or cables. The most common of these is an S-video jack, which has a small round connector with several pins arranged in a circle. For S-video connections, you will need to hook up the audio from your laptop to your TV separately.

Things You'll Need

HDMI cable

USB-to-HDMI adapter

OR

S-video cable

Audio cables

HDMI Connection

Turn on your Lenovo laptop and HDMI-enabled TV.

Connect one end of your HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your laptop. Lenovo's IdeaPad series has these ports. If you have a ThinkPad or other Lenovo model, connect a USB-to-HDMI adapter to your HDMI cable, then plug the USB end of the adapter into any USB port.

Press the "FN" and "F7" keys on your keyboard. This will switch the laptop's display to the TV. You can then use your TV screen as a monitor or use the laptop's DVD drive to watch movies on your TV.

S-Video Connection

Turn off your laptop and TV. Connect your S-video cable to the laptop on one end and the TV on the other.

Plug audio cables into your audio out jacks on the laptop. If you do not have stereo audio output, you can use the headphone/speaker jack. Add a splitter adapter to split the sound into stereo instead of mono (single speaker). Plug the other ends of the audio cables into your TV.

Turn on the laptop and let it boot up. Then turn on the TV. Right-click on your desktop screen, then select "Properties."

Click the "Settings" tab, the "Advanced" button, then "ATI displays" or "Display device" or the similarly worded option, depending on your system. It is not the "On screen displays" option in any version.

Click on the option that suits your system, such as "TV" or "LCD." Click "Apply," then "Yes" to confirm, if necessary. Click "OK" to exit. Your display should be visible on the TV screen. If not, try pressing "FN" and "F7" to toggle the display to the external screen.

Ho do i connect my laptop to my flat screen samsung tv

There are 3 ways ways to do this from the left side of the laptop.

1) S-Video-out jack [Connects an optional S-Video device such as a television, VCR, camcorder, overhead projector, or video capture card.]

2) External monitor port [Connects an external VGA monitor or projector.]

3) HDMI port (select models only) [Connects an optional video or audio device such as a high definition television, set-top box, DVD player, or any compatible digital or audio component.]

Your TV will have one of those interfaces. You just need to look at your user manuals for both the Laptop and TV

Take Care

I'd like to watch videos from my laptop on my tv

You will also need a 3.5 MM jack to RCA for your sound as well as a short stereo RCA cable. SVideo only transmits video, you need to send sound to your TV as well. Radio Shack sells these. They can also be used to send audio from an MP3 player to your TV or from your computer to an external home theatre system for greater sound quality. Do not confuse this with a 3.5mm to A/V RCA cable. That was designed to allow ipods to send A/V to a TV and you will be paying for more inputs then you need. The headphone jack of your laptop will usually send Left and right audio (mine has 2, the first sends front Left and Right, and the 2nd sends rear left and right, center and subwoofer. Most people only use front left and right so all the others are bundled into the second).

PS. The 3.5mm to RCA is usually sold with Female RCA endings so you will need a male RCA cable to connect to the RCA ports on your TV. I have a 20' RCA cable running from my Mac to my Amplifier to play my itunes on my Theatre speakers, but if you don't need that much a 3-6' RCA should work fine and would be a lot cheaper. On the mac side, I have the 3.5mm to Stereo RCA adapter hooked to my Audio out jack on the back. This is the cheapest option vs getting a PCMCIA TV tuner card which can set you back at least $80-$100, if not more. Tell the people at RadioShack what you are trying to do and they should be able to find the exact products I am talking about. The adapter should be about $5-10 and the cable should run you another 5 or so bucks as well.

Recording TV programmes to a laptop

This link will give you an example of what you need to get in order to do that. The S-video port on your laptop is for output, you need something to capture a video signal:
