Fridge stopped working light on motor not running

Robert,
Need more info. I am unaware of a "light on the motor". There are three motors normally in a refrigeration system. The inside Evaporator fan motor that circulates air across the evaporator coil inside the box, the Condenser fan motor near the compressor that cools the freon after compression, and the compressor itself. Normally none of these have a light. If you are referring to the light inside the box that turns on with opening the door AND the frig is not cooling, we must go to the very start. 1. Verify power at outlet.
2. Do you see (or inside the box- hear) the two fans running. 3. Is the compressor smoothly vibrating?

Not cooling

Sounds like a defective start relay, run capacitor overload and possibly a defective condenser fan may have started the problem. What is the correct model number found around the fresh food section door?

Toyota Corolla 1995. Quality of air conditioner reduced when stopped (traffic light) or moving at slow speed (condenced city traffic) No problem on the highway. Checked freon gas and fan. Understand that...

Normal, the ac heat exchanger condenser need air moving across the fins to remove the heat. While moving in town the condenser isn't remove the meat that is building up the it's aluminum fins. Even though the vehicle uses an electric fan. The fan is used to cool the engine temperature. If you Toyota is equip-ed with automatic transmission. The electric fan will need to pull enough air to cool the engine temperature, automatic transmission fluid, air conditioner condenser, and maybe power steering condenser to cool the power steering fluid. Later model of vehicles/trucks are using different refrigerants instead R134A in which you Toyota uses.

The simples way to explain is the ac remove heat from inside your Toyota and this heat is removed by the refrigerants inside your ac in the car. To cool the refrigerant this coolant is removed to the heat exchanger condenser located in front of the engine radiator. So, while moving at 60mph there is enough air flow through the radiator, ac head condenser, and other aluminum heat exchangers. GB...stewbison

Refigerator emits a groaning sound every minute or so, and lasts for 15-20 seconds

The cause of this sound could be many different things. I will cover the most likely, (easy one). Your condenser fan is going bad. Pull the Refrigerator away from the wall, up-plug it and remove the card board cover. Get a vacuum and get as much dust out as you can. Locate the fan, just try and clean the blades with a warm wet rag. Plug It back up and see if that is indeed the source of the sound. If it is, some fans can be oiled. You will have to take the fan out and using a Pin oilier, oil the shaft at both ends. PLEASE UN-PLUG IT BEFORE YOU WORK ON IT. PLEASE BE CAREFUL IN THERE. If you find that is the problem and you want to get a new fan, you will need all the numbers from your Ref. (model and Ser.) And you can order online from Sears.

As a start, try cleaning the coils and fan under the refrigerator.

You would not believe how many refrigerators and freezers I've worked on which required nothing but a good coil cleaning. The dirtier these coils get, the less efficient the unit becomes until it reaches a point that it almost appears as if the refrigerant unit is not working at all when all it really needs is a good cleaning.

While you're under there, be sure the fan is running to pull air over the coils to cool and condense the freon inside them.

Does the product a/c have a drain hole?

Air conditioners of your type have tiny passages that allow the water (if clean) to go to the back of the unit where a splash ring on the fan blade whips the water onto the hot condenser coil, eliminating the condensate outdoors and subcooling the refigerant in the condenser in doing so.
If you have water inside and its level or slight tilt back , then you need to clean it up or forget it!

Frigidair side by side refigerator fan not operating

I do see the power to the evaporator fan section going through the adaptive defrost part number 240554502 It would not hurt to unplug for a few moments and open the control panel inside the fresh food section and examine that control board. With it doing that you may see signs of heat or burn marks on the ADC Let me know, Sea Breeze

I had the same problem a year ago. It needed a new compressor, I think. I called GE, they came right away and fixed it in a few mintes.
