Lg washer 1832c now power from switch to start but has power to the circit board

Hello Jerry;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

If you do not have lights on your display, then I am afraid it is your main control board. You have a old unit and the control board is no longer available through Sears. You can purchase it through Amazon for $94.00. Part Number 6871EC2025E. If you elect to replace the board you will receive it in a silver anti-static bag. Before touching the board; GROUND YOURSELF BY TOUCHING BARE METAL WITH YOUR HANDS. STATIC ELECTRICITY WILL KNOCK OUT THE BOARD. You may want to purchase the board, go into the Sears Home Services website, print out a 10% Off Service coupon, and call sears to schedule a service call.

Rule of Thumb: "If the repair cost is 1/3 or more than the original purchase price, then buy new".

If your display lights are on, then:

1.) Bad Door Latch - Your unit will not run if the control does not get a signal that the door is closed.

25396209-azn3vdefrt5enyqdbzatir1e-4-0.jpg Part #: 6601ER1004C Cost: $52.00
2.) Bad Drum Rotation Sensor - This will shut your unit down.

Hello Alex;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

After review of your washer components, there is a strong possibility that you have a bad electronic control board. You have two control boards, one is for the motor and one for the other functions.

25306051-b3edjqs4ufvbcqfi2v1m52kl-2-0.jpg

Washer electronic control board for Kenmore Elite Washer model #11021062001 Electronic control board 8571359 is the circuit board that manages the washer's functions, such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. It sends voltage to the drive motor and other electro-mechanical component.

Cost: $218.00

If you elect to replace the board make sure you ground yourself by rubbing your hands on something that is bare steel. Static electricity will knock a board out.

All appliances with electric control boards should have a surge protector. You can purchase a wall socket surge protector for $20-25.00. It is a good investment considering how expensive control boards are.

Rule of thumb; "If the unit is either 7 years old or the cost of repair is 1/3 or more of the original price, purchase a new unit.

Consider it purchasing a new unit, stripping your existing unit for parts to sell on e-bay. You will make a little money and save others expensive parts cost.

contact the spares department of the manufacturer and make enquiries. My feeling is yes as most machines use a generic pressure switch.

This is a known control board issue with the Cabrio. If your unit still under warranty? If not, you will need to replace the control board. Be sure to purchase it new if you need to replace it so you can get a warranty on it. Here is the control board to order.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return.

The F1 error code on this washer indicates a Primary Control Board failure.

It is likely that the machine control board will need to be replaced to correct this problem.

The part number for the machine control board is undetermineable because you have not provided me with the exact model # of your washer.

The procedure for replacing the machine control board is provided HERE

NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

There is a slight possibility that a problem with the pressure switch hose could be causing this problem.

A pinched or twisted air hose can cause this fault code.

When you open the console, check the air hose connected to the pressure switch on the machine control board.

If it is pinched or crimped, I recommend rerouting the hose to resolve this problem.

This may fix your problem without replacing the control board.

NOTE: You may want to check for this condition before ordering the control board. Most electronic control boards cannot be returned for a refund or credit.

If you find no apparent problems with the air hose on the pressure switch, then replacing the machine control board on this washer should correct your problem. There is a risk involved in replacing this part yourself.

As noted above, you could have a problem with the air pressure hose that is not apparent upon your initial inspection. A service technician would normally need to properly and thoroughly diagnose this problem before replacing the control board.
