Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I was playign nba live 09 and my system just turned off and wont turn back on pls anyone respond ...thx
There's not a whole lot you can do if there is an internal problem with your system but here's a few things you can try before sending the system back to playstation.
First, make sure the system is shut down (you should see a single red light on the front) and turn off the power switch in the back. Unplug the system from the wall and wait 10-20 mins. This should reset the system to factory settings while saving any changes you might have made and saving all game saves. Make sure your PS3 is in a very well ventilated area.
Take it out of any enclosed area like a book shelf or shelf on your entertainment center before you start it back up. Most freezing and shutting down problems are from over heating. Even if you think it's getting enough air let it sit in the middle of the room on a hard surface with nothing around it and try to run the system again.
You may have to take the system out everytime you want to play but that's one of the down sides to having a powerful computing piece of equipment, they make a LOT of heat. And, if this heat can't get away from the system fast enough or if it's being recirculated back through, it just gets hotter and hotter until it quits.
When you do get the system started back up, try a different game to see if it was the game that may have caused the system to shut down. If you don't seem to have a problem with another game while playing for a while, try the origional game again and make sure there are no scratches, dust, or even fingerprints on the surface of the disk.
Blueray players are very sensitive to the slightest imperfection and can cause disk reading errors with the smallest fingerprint, due to their power and detail while reading the disk.
If none of these steps helped you solve the problem, you'll have to contact playstation at their website to have them repair your system. They do not sell or give out repair manuals or schematics for any non company specific repair shops. I've tried.
Good luck and don't forget to rate! Thank you!
