    I had the same problem.

I removed all screws from the bottom of the stand ( exposing the steel support ) I then remoed the two tiny black philip-screws seen on the back side. This allowed the support to slide out easily.

I suggest trying to remove the two small screws first it appears I might have done more than necessary.

You probably have this figured out by now, but here's how I resolved it:

There are two holes marked with arrows, just above the stand, near the bottom of the set. Remove those. Next, roughly in line but slightly wider are two more phillips head screws. Remove those as well. The stand should slide out easily. Do what you want with the screws, but in case you have a future need for the stand, I jusyt put them back in the holes they came from

I want to wall mount my 26LB30QD but the stand needs to come off, there is nothing in the instuctions on how to remove the stand, please advise.

With the tv laying flat on to the screen, remove the two screws in the recessed holes. Then remove the two screws above towards the input panel, one under AUDIO-L/AUDIO-R and the one under HDMI-1. The stand should easily slide out.
