Question about Motorola Mobility Blnc Bluetooth Car Kit Portfolio Ihf1000

1 Answer

People can't hear me on my Blackberry Curve unless I turn the phone and talk loudly right into the speaker. I am so sick of having the "I can't really hear you" conversation! With my bluetooth, I have the same problem, so it seems to be an "outgoing microphone volume" problem, but when I search for this setting, there isn't one! Is there an aftermarket product that will boost my mic?

When using the IHF1000 with your Blackberry Curve, I recommend to go into the device properties for the IHF1000 in the phone's Bluetooth devices listing. Under that, there should be a phone setting to turn Echo Canceller: On, Off, or Automatic. By default, it is Automatic. For this phone with the IHF1000, I would set it to Off. This has solved audio quality problems for a number of people.

Note: this may or may not directly address the low uplink audio level you are experiencing, but it does seem to help with general call audio quality when connected to the IHF1000.

Just bought a new blackberry 8900 curve and cant hear incoming calls or when i make an outgoing call it will only work on loud speaker.

Sounds like the top speaker is damaged. It's a hardware issue. Get it to a local shop to be replaced or the place you bought it if it's still under warranty.

People can hear me but i cant hear them

To confirm that ur speaker is dead try to speak in the loud speaker mode. If u happen to hear them in loud speaker mode but not in the normal speaker mode then its confirmed that u need to replace ur speaker unit.

Thankyou

On the right hand side of your blackberry click the top button!

Failing that, from your desktop go to

Profile
Loud
Activate

In this menu press your blackberry button and you have a shorter menu - Choose Edit

Which of the volume levels do you want to turn up, you will see a list - volume - Choose from escalating to mute.

My ringtone volume sounds too low for a blackberry curve. And my friends have the same phone and its louder!Im mad this phone is brand new!!

Just_Bobz is correct and incorrect at the same time...

Not all blackberry curves are set up the same nor do they all have the same "theme" (layout)

For instance the T-mobile Blackberry Curve (8120) has a different theme and therefore the sound option is not in the upper right hand corner like the Alltel Blackberry Curve (8330) default theme.

My suggestion is to find the volume control icon on your curve (or the volume themes as I like to call them). When you click on the speaker icon you will have the options for the different volume themes such as Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, and Off. Click on whichever theme you will be using on a regular basis to activate it.

** Another area where Just_Bobz is incorrect… just because you have put the volume theme on Loud does NOT mean that the phone is on its loudest possible sound setting!!

If you go back into the volume themes, all the way at the bottom there is an Advanced option.. If you click on Advanced, highlight which ever theme says active next to it and click your trackball to open it ... you will then have the option to change the option for any and all alerts on the phone (ie email, phone, mms, sms, bbm. ect.) Under each of the different options there is ANOTHER sound option for low, medium, high, ect. (and there is an in and out of holster setting

SOO..

Just because your volume theme is set to Loud.. does not mean that the phone is truly set to loud!!

Replacing a blackberry 8310 speaker

Hello.. My labradore puppy has recently taken a liking to my blackberry curve and decided to have a go at the casing. I found this link on youtube and another blackberry site for replacing the casing.

Within this video you will see once the casing is opened that you can manually ( press ) out the external speaker and replace it the same way.

I hope this helps.

You probably have the speaker membrane broken. Just plug a headphone and test to see if the rest of the device is working correctly.
You can find the replacement part here:
