Hi there , Please ensure all IP settings are correct on the Mac , and also try calling your ISP Support Center , they should offer it too members for Free, Ask them for Desktop Support for your Mac ,explain your situation to them , and they will resolve it giving you step by step guidance over the Phone, Hope you come right Thanks
If you need to configure something on the router, hook to it via ethernet wire to configure it. the default ip address for the router is 192.168.1.1 You will need to assign a static IP address to your wired network card in the range of 192.168.1.x, I would static it to 192.168.1.10 Then after you have staticed your IP address, use a browser to navigate to 192.168.1.1 the default user/password for the router is:
You should be able to change any settings then that you need to. Also, any firmware updates you would need should be provided by your ISP.
you can reset the password by doing a factory reset to the router - usually a little button you press on the back with a pen through a small hole. Doing this will mean setting up your isp details again.
alternatively, connect using a lan lead, log in to the router and change the wifi password.
Yes, simply set up laptop as a mini server (Wireless) at the other end of the house (Where the Xboxes are) and ensure it has the WEP key installed when asked to access the router / internet. Buy a router adapter for each Xbox 360 that connects to them in the RJ45 slot and connect thru the laptop agian using the WEP key that you should have installed in the Router.
To find out the WEP key, you will need to access the routerset up.
Do you have any computer connected to the router Or any computer online using the same router ?
If you do not have any computer online through the router then you will need to connect the computer to the router and access the routerset up.
Once you access the router set up then you will be able to locate the WEP key.
