I cant put music on my sandisk 2gb memory card case it says write protected. how do i change this? please help.

Hello.
Kindly test your Sandisk card on a different computer. If you still cannot transfer music to it then the problem is with the Sandisk card. Try to Format the card because it might have a virus that's why you cannot put music into it.

I have a PNY 2 GB micro sd card that some one gave me and it had music but i tried erasing da music on da computer but it said its write coppied and i formated da memory card in my phone n erased everythin...

look at page "3/9" of this document "http://www.pqi.com.tw/upload/download/SD%20%284%29.pdf" and it will show on the lower right hand side of the picture a slot that says "write protect", move that tab to unlock the card.

BTW this is a good technical document for SD cards in general if you are interested in how they function.

I put music on it before with no problems but now i try it the same way it says error has occured. I tried to format it and it said this disc is write protected. I used medimonkey and windows media player...

The memory card may have become corrupted. Also the little read/write protect switch may have been enabled which is located on the card itself. Also as a final note depending on how much music you put on it it may be full as 2GB is not that big in space. For example an average music album is about 160 MB and that give you around 15 full albums to give you an idea of what 2gb can hold.

When I try to put music on my phone the computer says cannot copy song. The disk is write - protected. Remove the write - protection or use another disk. I could put music on my old phone. How do I remove...

If you were trying to put it on a memory card... Some memory cards have a little switch on them. Take it out, position the switch differently and try again. I hope it'll help. Thank you
