Question about Panasonic 1000W 5.1-Channel Home Theater System with 5-Disc Upconvert DVD Player - Black

Center and wireless speakers not working

I have the system all hooked up the way the owners manual specifies. All the speakers work if the AM/FM radio is on but as soon as I turn it to the TV or DVD player I only have the 2 front speakers and the Sub working. So I know all the speakers work, but why wont they kick on when the DVD or TV is on?

If you have it in a surround mode, make sure there is a center channel speaker hooked up. Most voice tracks will come through the center channel

I have a Denon AVR-1707 with a center, 2 front speakers, and surround sound back speakers. When set to FM radio, all speakers work. When set to TV, only one side speaker works. Any ideas? It worked fine...

Follow the sound back to its source. FM is internal so it can't possibly have a cabling issue.

I imagine your TV sound ultimately originates from a cable box which has a nice juicy digital output that the Denon could use. Why route audio through a TV, like the manuals tell you, when you can get it straight to the best audio device without a detour to a TV and its dubious audio electronics?

How to get the dvd player to play threw my truck speakers?

if you dvd play came with a wireless fm modulator read the owner manual and set up the fm station to get it to work . if it does not have a built in fm modulator you need to buy one.

the pull out your radio and run power to the fm modulator and then connect the factory anntenna to one side of modulator and the other side goes back to your factory antenna location at radio . then set the fm station you set for the fm modulator run a set of rca cables from the fm modulator to the dvd flip screen and it should work . i would think your flip screen dvd play would have a built in fm modulator that is wireless .

ON my new (used) Bose 3.2.1 II Audio system - it came with no manual and I would like to get a copy of a manual if possible and ALSO, more importantly, the radio doesn't seem to be working - it produces a...

Bose offers the manual in PDF format so you'll need Adobe reader (it's free from Adobe.com if you don't have it)...
http://products.bose.com/pdf/customer_service/owners/AM312515_01_321_SeriesIIIandGS_OG_ENGvo.pdf

As for reception; The FM antenna is a simple RCA plug, and you can make an antenna from an old headphone or speaker line...the AM antenna is a bit trickier.

You can also buy these directly from Bose at the following site:

* I would try eBay first to save a few bucks...

What is the FM radio frequency to use the Hannah Montana Wireless Microphone?

FM 99.7 works best.... However if you have a local FM station using that freq your out of luck UNLESS your handy with a Jewelers screwdriver. Calling tech support will get you a "sorry" but there is nothing we can do. So if you are one of the unlucky ones with a Local 99.7 FM station here is what you can do.

1) Find a dead spot on the FM radio band either at the very low end or high end of the range. You should hear just fuzz (white noise) on your radio. However, on many newer FM tuners if there is no station broadcast there is nothing but silence.
2) Put batteries in the microphone.
3) Get a really really tiny flat head (Jewelers)screwdriver just like the kind in those eye glass kits they sell at the grocery store.
4) Sit right in front of the radio
5) Insert the screwdriver into the tiny hole in the microphone and tune the microphone until the radio goes quiet (no fuzz sound). Or.... you can keep pressing S to hear a beat and the beat is acutally heard through the speakers.

The hole is located just to the left of the screw that you undid to get at the battery compartment, but it's off center. Inside this hole is a small tuning screw. Slowly, slowly, SLOWLY turn the screw driver until you here a change or interruption in the fuzz sound on the radio speakers. This will indicate you found a compatible frequency. Then even slower - tune back to that "notch" until you hear nothing but silence on the radio. Test it by pressing the applause button "A" or by pressing the mic "M" button and talking.

There are multiple places on the FM dial that will "work" as you tune the little screw but you should have already manually selected where (the FM freq) you want to use your mic.

Once it's working it ain't perfect. I doubt you'd do a serious performance on it, but the kids love it.
The mic quality is not top notch for sure.

Fine tune as necessary....

Rear speakers not working

Your FM tuner will only generate sound from the front sepakers. CD's, Tape, and I guess mp3 player, as well, will only play through the front speakers.
I've included a link for the manual. The audio on this rig is pretty complex. read through the info, especially pages 11,12,13, and play with the audio controls.

First you can download a manual for your model from Rosen's site. It explains all the on screen programing you can do. You'll need a fundtioning remote to do this I think. You can get one from a local Rosen dealer for about $35 (see deaker finder on Rosen's site. Yes your sound does come through the radio on 88.7 or 88.9FM througha modulator installed inside your dash. Otherwise you use infrared wireless earphones (Wal-Mart sells them). The "Speaker" button on the passenger side of the LCD screeen turns the car speakers on or offf.

No dialog sound when watching DVD's

The problem is that your center channel is not functioning correctly.  Dialogue is typically routed to the center channel only in 5.1, so if you don't have a working center channel all you will get is sound FX and background sound.
Go through all your settings, verify that they are correct.  Verify that your center channel is working properly, and wired to the correct output.
Test the center channel speaker and I feel confident you will find something amiss.

The center speaker shouldn't be on the surround outputs it should be on the Center output. The surround outputs are for the rear speakers.
