Question about Poulan Pro Chain Saw 46cc 20"

Poulan 2800 chain sastarts and runs for about 2 minutes and quits

Poulan 2800 starts and runs only 1 or 2 minutes and acts like it ran out of gas. Plenty of gas in the tank. I changed fuel pickup (filter). No change.Repair shop worked on it and adjusted the carburetor which made it hard to start and still ran only 1 or 2 minutes before quitting. It worked fine prior to this this problem but started when I took it out to use it after running it earlier in the week with no problem. I also tried adjusting the carburetor. It started better but still only ran 1 or 2 minutes before quitting. After running 1 or 2 minutes, it will start again with some difficulty but then runs only 10 or 15 seconds before quitting.

Poulan 2800 chain saw runs good for 1 or 2 minutes and then acts like it is running out of gas. After that it might restart and run only a few seonds. Tried new fuel filter and checked tubing. Problem started all of a sudden with no pre warning.

Hell, the gas cap has a vent and it sounds like it is plugged up with maybe saw dust or dirt. Take the cap off pull the inside apart it should separate. When you get it apart blow it out. Then reinstall you should be good to go. Thank you

Sounds loike its running lean, start by replacing the fuel filter on the end of the pipe in the fuel tank, if this does not help you need to richen up the mixture screws, unfortunayly you need a special toll to adjust the screws ( they have a spline, not a screwdriver slot ) the tool is part no. 530035560, once you have the tool unscrew the carb screws 1/2 turn on each and try again.

Doesn't want to start. Replace carb and ran for few seconds, Make you think that it is not getting gas, but pouring gas into spark plug does not help and drying spark plug dose not help. Spark appears...

The spark should be blue and snappy. Try a new plug--any help? If not, it may need a new ignition module. Check the flywheel magnets--they should be quite strong. The module gap with the magnets underneath the poles should be about business card thickness. Check the air cleaner and muffler for plugging. Hope this gets it running!

The plugged vent gets my vote. Loosen the fuel cap when it starts to starve.

POULAN PRO 295: RUNNING VERY STRONG, FOR OVER AN

Remove the air filter, squirt a little fuel into the carb. Start and let run if it will for a few minutes. Could be you had some water in old fuel. and it is still in the intake of saw. If it still will not run after squirting some fuel into carb. You have a firing problem.

Poulan 2375 w/18 inch bar keeps throwing the chain

when you put the chain on new did you adjust the tension on the chain.most new chains need to be ran a few minutes to heat them up a little.then you need to readjust chian so it doesn't sag out of the bottem of the bar, also when you adjust the chain you need to push the tip of the bar down so the bar is in the up possition.if you don't the bar will work it's way up and loosen the chain.
