The best option is to buy another pull start assembly from the engine's manufacturer. It is possible to rewind and/or fix the existing pull start assembly but is seldom worth it. The reason it is apart in the first place was probably due to breakage or excessive wear.

Good Luck,

Kitchenaid quiet scrub

I pulled a spinner out of a LG washer a month ago, it's a tuff job, lay the machine over on it's side, pull the back panel. you will just about take the machine completely apart. the water jacket and basket have to come out of the housing. I suggest that you mark all connectors, I usually take masking tape and put it across the two halves of the connection and label it 'a' or one, what ever makes you happy, then start disconnecting them one at a time checking if it has to come apart to relieve the barrel from frame. As you start taking bolts and springs apart it ends up being self teaching, but if you are not very well mechanically inclined, you will not be able to do this job. take pix of everything so it will be allot easier to put it back together again. Remember it's not Humpty Dumpty, and can be put back together again, I did and had never done it before, wallah. Questions,

your wiring is shorting or pinched or check the connections-pull them apart and put back together to make sure of good contact-start at the speedo and follow the wire to sending unit-probably on trany or the sending unit needs replacment-cheers Denny

Need a diagram of a brum brake assembley, cant remember how to put it bk together

If you just have one side apart, open up the other side and look, it's a mirror image.

If both are apart, suggest finding someone that knows brakes well to help, or sometimes a trip to the library can be good, most have auto repair manuals.

Headlight socket replaced

this is relatively easy. First off remove the battery this will give you much more room to work. Identify which socket is not working, remove the round black rubber capping from the back of the headlight assembley. Pinch both sides of the metal clip that connects to the socket (you will also need to be sure after pinching to slide each side of the clip downward for the socket to release). Remove and replace socket. Once the socket is taken off your local parts store can easily locate a replacement. If you toook it apart you can put it back together.

I have a extra piece when i put the ignition switch back together

It may be difficult to find parts to fix this quickly. You can remove the lock plate and replace it with a similar thickness flat washer, then jump the neutral safety switch, replacing it with a push button. Of course it will start in any gear if set up this way, but the buton must be depressed when starting, to remind you to put it in "park" first! Still not as safe as the factory setup but it will get you going!
