Laptop won't power on Dell latitude 600 - Dell Latitude D600 Notebook

    No lights no anything ? = No power= bad power supply?

Step 1. unplug everything (all usbs, extra screens, power supply...EVERYTHING!)
step 2. take your battery out, and leave it out
step 3. Hold down your power button (with the battery still out) and count to 15
step 4. put the battery back in (you can plug everything back in too)
step 5. turn it back on...if this still doesn't work. call Dell

Probably issue with hard drive or battery may not be connected properly.

Screen is dark


try connecting a external monitor and see still its dark on the video or else then the LCD needs replaced

Power supply issues or notebook problem?


It's a pretty common problem (Power pin failure). The pins/sockets are poorly designed and poorly constructed. The day-in and day-out jerking and pulling on the cable causes the failure.

This video talks about using a cable retention device to stop the problem. I have tried the product and it works really well.
