More than likely the machine has a bad clutch or motor.. in most cases it is cheaper to just buy another top loader.

The pressure switch is mis-reporting the water level to the ECU.

Test/replace the pressure switch.

Drive motor failure, CCU or Motor control failure. To ceck this look at your owners manual and from then test the parts with a multi meter. To keep from spending money you can unplug your machine for 15 to 30 minutes, plug it back in and sometimes that will clear the code and everything will work just fine. Also some parts are covered under the 5 year warranty so make sure about that also

sounds like your transmission is not working properly. check your warranty information. (should be in your owners manual) many of the whirlpool made top loaders came with a 5 year warranty on the transmission/gear case

Kenmore Elite Calypso Washer

I'm in the process of tearing apart my Calypso, Ugh. I found the diagnostic chart inside the machine. 5L is actually 'SL' which means suds lock, and can be an indicator of a failed pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds. Corrective action is to press Stop/Cancel to clear the display.

If it goes through the complete cycle o.k. except for the slow spin then the motor itself needs to be checked.
