Possibility is the pressure chamber or hose (pressure chamber to sump) is blocked and the microswitch is being activated because the water is not entering the tank quick enough. Isolate from electric, remove lid and left panel (looking from the front). There is a plastic chamber bottom right of left side with two microswitches, either this is blocked or the hose that runs from it to the right and along the back of the kick panel and into the sump. Clear either or both (make sure all hoses are pushed true when repositioning).

SOURCE: no fill - drain pump running - I assume stuck float switch

remove the bottom plate of the dishwasher and the bottom pan is revealed. reason the drain pump is running will be that this pan has water in it ie you have a leak. mop out the water and dishwasher will work - switch off mains when you do this

SOURCE: Neff dishwasher sticks on 1 minute

We had this problem with our machine.
There turned out to be a few things that caused it:

- Firstly, the float assembly (an orange looking float in a little chamber, visible if you take off the left-hand panel of the machine) was clogged - we cleaned this and it seemed to help.
- The heat exchanger matrix was full of debris - we tried to clean this but ended up damaging it and bought a new one.

.. these two things seemed to improve the cleaning and the machine worked for a while.

The real problem though (which caused it to pump out continuously) turned out to be a failed seal on the circulation pump.

If you look on page 4 of the following link:

https://www.neff-eshop.com/eshop/neff/gb/prodp.htm?eShopType=S&prod=S5456X3GB%2f22

.. you will see a diagram of the bottom of the machine - the part that failed was 171598, which you can see on the bottom middle-to-right hand side of the picture..
The rubber had perished very badly, and it was causing water to leak into the bottom of the machine, which triggers 'flood mode' whereby it pumps continuously and doesn't actually wash the dishes.

The part costs about £5 - fitting it is not straightforward though, as you need to strip the machine down which is a pretty involved job.
If you think you're up to it, the steps I followed were:

- Remove both side panels
- On the left hand side, remove heat exchanger matrix and float assembly
- Remove kick-panel under the front door
- On the right hand side, remove all wiring from the door to the machine (including an earthing wire which is screwed to the side of the machine) - note that there are two wires which go to push-on connectors which have to be removed separately - all the others go to connector blocks.
- Inside the machine, remove the wire baskets, spray arm and bottom filter.
- Remove the lid from the salt dispenser - and now the tricky part, you need to find something that will allow you to remove the large plastic 'nut' that holds the salt dispenser to the machine.
- Remove the two screws in the bottom of the machine (167241 in the diagram mentioned above)
- Now, shut the door and then disconnect the door spring mechanism from the left and right side of the door.
- Disconnect the string from the door closing mechanism from the springs at the left and right back corners, under the machine.
- Remove the two screws at the back of the machine which connect the top of the machine to the base.
- Remove the two screws at the front of the machine which connect the top of the machine to the base (these are quite low down, near the door hinges).

Now, you should be able to lift the top of the machine off the base, and will have access to the pump etc.

... re-assembly is the reverse of disassembly ;-)

This took me a couple of hours - it might be better to find somebody who will do it for you for fixed cost as it's a pig of a job.

For what it's worth, there seemed to be very few places where the machine could leak - and this looked to be the major one - and there are a few push-fit pipes which are worth checking out too.

Hope this helps somebody.

Neff Integrated Dishwasher. The pump on my dishwasher won't stop running!

That is the classic behaviour of a flood sensor being wet. You said 'anti flood float'. I know them as a small sensor in a tray under the machine and above the floor in a plastic pan. If it is that where your float is, then you need a service call to diagnose. It is likely to be a circuit board issue and they are expensive so need proper eyes-on trained diagnosis.

NEFF dishwasher s9vtif bottom of the machine is full of water after finishing the wash

Hello. You might have several issues at work here. The drain hose might have a clog in it, the drain pump could be jammed or defective, or the main board could be bad. Use a wet-dry vac to pull water out of the unit through the drain hose(you'll have to disconnect it from under the sink) Be prepared, it might be really nasty inside with rancid water/food. Sometimes, you can get a clog to clear by doing this. Next, you'll have to have access to underneath the unit. Listen for the sounds of the drain pump working--it should be humming, trying to pump water out. If it's humming but not pumping out the water, chances are good that there is a clog or the motor is jammed by debris or food. There should be 120 volts at the motor when it's running. If you have the voltage but no humming, good possibility the motor has an open winding and needs to be replaced. If there is *no* voltage when the pump should be running, then the problem very well could be a defective main control board. I hope this helps you!

Either:
  1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
  2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
  3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,

Hello,
The water which has activated the antiflood device is actually underneath the appliance it is held in the sump tray and this has to be drained before the A.F.D.will cancel. You will have to remove the dishwasher to get at the underneath but when you have got rid of the water you will still have to trace what caused it.The seal on the circulation pump could be a suspect or a pin hole in the drain hose.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Sounds like the anti-flood device has kicked in this would suggest that there is either a leak under the machine or if you may have used too much rinse aid and it has frothed up and leaked under the door.
The screw in the middle is to lower the middle rear leg turn it towards the down or minus sign normally anti-clockwise.

Hope this helped.

yes the problem is the float. you have to remove the left side panel and take a flash light and see the water in the very bottom of the tray. there is a little dip where the float is that is probably partially filled with water.dry that area completelyand that will solve the problem. then cancel and drain the machine
that should do it
