Question about Lexmark All-in-One Printer with PictBridge

Having trouble getting my scanner to work.

I am attempting to scan some things on my X3350 All-In-One printer/scanner/fax. It is saying: Scan was not successful. It is telling me to make sure the "All In One" is turned on or to check the USB cable. I know that the USB cable is plugged in because I have been using the printer with no problem. We installed a new hard drive about a month ago and I'm wondering if I re-installed the printer incorrectly.

    Thank you so much for helping. I actually have Windows XP I think. Would this still apply to my issue? Where would I look to see which Windows I have? So I should un-install absolutely everything for the printer and then re-install it using one of the new driver downloads on lexmark.com?

Are you using vista, if so make sure you have the latest drivers. Also, uninstall EVERYTHING for your printer and re install it from scratch from the new download from LEXMARK . com. The new HDD might have Something to do with it, as I have seen a similar case on a PC running vista with a HD crash.

Copy and Scanner not responding


Copier may require you use the scan feature to make copies either ise the feeder otr flatbed. Press start on machine for manual entry but still use scan to get things working.

Can't detect printer when scanning MBP


Maybe the scan software is not installed yet. The Lexmark scan software can only be installed using the installation cd that came with the printer. It's not available for download online since it's a big file. If you don't have the cd or you lost it, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support for assistance.

I CAN`T SEND A FAX


Fax machines are sorta like printers, sorta like scanners, and sorta like dial up modems all wrapped into one expensive box.
1. First thing to make sure of is that you are hooked to a phone line. most fax machines have a phone handset that you can make calls from. Call someone and make sure that works. If So, you are able to connect to phone networks, and should have no trouble sending or receiving data. If you have a dead line or no sound, check the line and check the power. (its always the easy stuff that is overlooked, just check it and make sure).
2. If this fax machine has computer interface, (usb port or parallel cable port), see if you can scan with it. Drop a document into the scan area and see if the computer can scan an image from the scanner. If the scanner works, you can scan images into the fax machine to be sent to the fax number. (If your fax machine does not have a scan to computer feature, skip this.)
3. if your fax machine has a print from pc feature, try to print a document to it from your computer. If you can print, then the printer works, and you can receive faxes. (if your fax machine does not have a pc printing feature, skip this)
4. Here is how a typical fax machine works. You place the document or image into the scanner feed area. You press a big button that usually says "fax" and then, a screen pops up saying to dial the number. You dial the number and press SEND. once you press Send, the machine will scan the document, dial the number and sing a little dial up modem song awaiting a response from the receiving machine. the receiving machine acknowledges the fax, and the singing is no longer audible (but it continues because the modem song is actually data transmission/reception). after about 20-60 seconds, the fax completes and the call ends. As for the particular model you have, the functions should be about the same, though the buttons and arrangements may be different. FYI, you can send a fax straight from the PC too, if you have a dial-up fax/modem card.

You have to manually add scan options via settings>scan options>scan to>

that's within the HP solution center btw.

I have a lexmark x3350 and the scanner wont scan


Alot of the X3350 all in ones have there scanners go bad if you still have a warranty for this printer then call Lexmark if not then you can go out and buy one for like $85.

Lexmark Scanner - "cannot retrieve application list" Won't Scan - HELP please!


delete the norton internet security as its blocking the scanner files of your printer software .or try reloading the printer drivers again but if reloading the printer drivers does not helps then removing the norton software is compulsary as the files of printer are getting blocked so scanner is not working.

Does it also fail when scanning?
The light source may be shutting down partway through the scan.

Scanner Failure: HP Officejet 6210


After hours of trying things.I found this and it worked. The scanner button doesn't work, but at least I can scan.
