To send pic msgs you need to have MMS activated on your phone. If it is activated then there is no way that you would not be able to send pic msgs.
Please contact the helpline of your service provider and ask them to activate the MMS on your number. When they do it, they will send a msg to you with the settings. Only after you save this msg that the MMS would be available to you on your phone.
Yeah thats true before using the service you need to configure it manually or automatic, depends on the service provider, Some provider gives the option to download the MMS settings from Web Site, you just need to select the brand, model number and the phone number to send the settings.
For Example: If you need and settings for SONY mobile just go to the web site and follow the steps to download it.
If it comes to manually you need to call the customer care service provider to get the details like IP address, port or APN (if any).
Normally you'll need Vodafone to send you both the MMS and Internet connection settings. Then once received an save take your battery out of the handset without switching it off, remove your SIM for 10 seconds. Put it back together and send yourself a MMS and you should now be fully set up.
Alternatively here are Vodafone's settings:
Name: wap.vodafone.co.uk Username: wap Password: wap Authentication: Normal Data bearer: GPRS Gateway IP (proxy) address: 18.104.22.168 Session mode: Permanent Port number: 9201 MMS Message (Relay) Server URL: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms/
try this menu then settings then connectivity then network then access point then new access point then fill in it is case sensitive so do it exact name: MEdia Net bearer setting: gprs APN: wap.cingular user id: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 Primary server: 066.209.011.061 Secondary 000.000.000.000 then save it
then go back to menu then internet then settings then network profiles then new profile then fill in name: MEdia Net homepage: device.home proxy: on ip address: 066.209.011.061 port number: 9201 access point MEdia Net then save then options then activate
then menu then messaging then settings then multimedia then network profiles name:MMS homepage mmsc.cingular.com proxy: on ip address:066.209.011.061 port number: 9201 access point MEdia Net then save then activate you may have to highlight mms to activate .
