HTC Touch HD bluetooth connection to Keysonic ACK-540BT Keyboard
The Keysonic ACK-540BT Keyboard is a universal bluetooth keyboard with HID interface. The keyboard in equiped with a laptop style touchpad and two mouse buttons. The Keyboard works fine when paired with a PC, but when paired with my HTC Touch HD, the touchpad does not work, though the keypad works fine. Any solution to get the touchpad working would be apperciated.
Re: HTC Touch HD bluetooth connection to Keysonic...
Have you tried blueinput http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemouse it isn't free but there is a trail version which would allow you to see if it works.
I had a version without the touchpad and I couldn't get the keyboard to pair consistantly until I used this, do you have pairing problems with just the keyboard part? I would pair but not respond.
I am planning on getting this keyboard very soon so would be good to know if it helps.

Unfortunately the HTC Wildfire does not support the Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device profile) which enables you to connect a keyboard. It does support the following profiles; headset, file transfer, audio/video remote control, object push, audio streaming, phone book access & hands-free.
Hi I just got this phone yesterday - its really awesome. I had the same problem - to change the keyboard just press the keyboard button on the bottom like you usually do to bring it up, then press the little up arrow next to that button. This gives you a selection of keyboards to use, they are much better as they are TouchFlo 3d keyboards.
Go to Control Panel and click on Sound.
Next click Bluetooth Devices.
Click Add button, lower left corner of the Bluetooth
Devices window. Insure batteries are installed.
Press the Connect Button on the Keyboard
(Usually located on the under side of your keyboard) this allows Windows to see
the keyboard so you can pair the keyboard to the computer.
On the computer choose My Device Is Set Up and Ready To
The keyboard should appear in the Add Bluetooth Device
Select your Keyboard and click Next.
When prompted, select Choose a Passkey For Me and
Windows will generate and display a Passkey. Type the Passkey specified on the Bluetooth
(do not use the keyboards keypad when typing the passkey)
No charters will appear on the monitor when typed, but if
you make a mistake, you can backspace. You must enter the Passkey within 30 seconds.
If you don’t enter the Passkey within 30 seconds, click Back
and click Nextagain.
Once the Passkey is entered, the Keyboard should be
connected to the computer. Finish and follow any on screen instructiond.
Hope this helps.Bud
