How to change oil pan 1995 GMC vandura3500

I am guessing this is just like all vehicles and the oil pan is directly underneath the engine. You will need to buy a a new oil pan gasket and if you are replacing the pan, another pan. Take the bolts off the pan making sure that you allow the oil to drain out into a waste container. Once you get all the oil out, you can take the pan off. Scrape off any old gasket parts that might have stuck on the engine. Use some gasket glue and reattach the new gasket and pan. I would find out what level of torque you need for the bolts and use a torque gauge to tighten the bolts. Add oil and drive.

Where do I check the transmisson fluid on a 2006 cobolt

The 2006 Cobalt does not have a dipstick check tube at all. It is normally a non-serviceable component unless there is a leak. When the pan is removed, for service you would normally add 6.9 US quarts to the transmission. I will paste the GM instructions for servicing the pan below.

2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement
Tools Required:
• J 6125-1B Slide Hammer
• J 23129 Axle Boot Remover
Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Place the drain pan under the transaxle oil pan.

Notice: When removing the oil pan bolts, be careful not to damage the oil pan sealing surfaces. Such damage may result in oil leaks in this area.
3. Remove the oil pan bolts from only the front and the sides.
4. Loosen the rear oil pan bolts about 4 turns.
5. Lightly tap the oil pan with a rubber mallet or pry in order to allow the fluid to drain.
6. Inspect the fluid color.
7. Remove the remaining oil pan bolt
8. Remove the oil pan.
9. Remove the oil pan gasket.

10. Remove the oil filter. Use a long screwdriver in order to pry the oil filter neck out of the seal.
11. Check the oil filter seal for damage or wear.
12. As needed, remove the seal using the J 6125-1B and the J 23129 .

Installation Procedure
1. Install a new seal, as needed. Before installing, coat the new seal with a small amount of J 36850 or petroleum jelly.
2. Install a new filter into the case
3. Install the oil pan gasket. Use a new gasket if the sealing ribs are damaged.
4. Clean and dry the oil pan. Inspect the pan for damage and replace the pan if necessary.
5. Install the oil pan.
6. Clean and dry the oil pan. Inspect the pan for damage and replace the pan if necessary.
7. Install the oil pan.
8. Install the oil pan bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Fill the transaxle to the proper level. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications .
11. Inspect the pan for leaks. Recheck the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking .

ok not to hard to replace you need to go to auto store and buy a new one. it may or may not come with new gaskett they can tell you what size you need if it dosent come with a new one. also you will need to drain the oil before removing the old pan so make sure to buy new oil for that.. your basicly doing an oil change so you may as well get new oil filter too. then after you have everything... new pan, oil, oil filter, gaskett.. just get under take out oil plugg drain oil in catch can. remove the oil pan bolts you may have too tap the oil pan in different directions to get it to drop off. clean away old gaskett if you need to, and replace new gaskett and oil pan, lay new gaskett ontop of new oil pan and hold in place to get a couple bolts started then start and tighten all bolts useing a cross bolt tightining pattern to make sure the pan is in place{ tighten one bolt then do opposit bolt} change oil filter, and refill with oil.. if you need to see this done youtube is an excillent place to find videos on this.. i hope this helps... remember to let the car cool before doing this so get everything you need and start the next day before you drive.. nothing worse that getting hot oil down you arm while your laying on the ground...

Hi....If under warranty call for service. If not, then check out eBay or Amazon. You will need model # of your machine. Keep in mind that a new machine sells for around $50.00. Don't spend too much on a replacement pan when you can get a new Sunbeam. Hank

How to remove thesump automatic golf 2000

Sump meaning oil pan? Buy the white adhesive in a tube for the pan from the dealer. Once you remove the pan you'll need to clean out the old goo and apply the new one before you fasten the pan back to the engine.

If you're asking about auto trans pan, you'll need a new rubber seal, filter O-ring, VW oem auto trans fluid and a new filter. Then after all that work you'll need a scan tool to tell you fluid temp indicating the correct fluid level when it spills out at that temperature.

Need to change the transmission filter

get your self the right tools, the filter, transmission fluid, gasket, gasket silicon, a good wide drain pan, clean rags, some cleaner to clean out the pan like brake parts cleaner. first find the transmission pan. once located undo the bolts around the pans flange or use the drain plug to drain all the fluid. if it doesnt have a drain plug then you have to take off the pan to drain it, messy! once the pan is off you should be able to see the filter and swap it out. clean out the pan, pan magnent, put your new gasket on and use some silicon, bolt it back on. fill the trans back with new fluid. this is straight forward approach. and dont mix the oil pan with the trans pan. the oil pan is under the motor( if that helps) let me know if you need any help or you dont understand something, thanks

My oil pan drain plug was stripped when i bought the car new and had an after market temp. plug. I would like to know how to take off the old oil pan and replace with a new one.

you need to purchase a chiltons repair manual. no overly difficult but the front cv drive shafts and starter may need to be removed. be sure to drain all oil out of pan before removing. use a new pan and gasket. before to check the tightness of the new pan's drain plug before adding oil.
