Question about Verizon Communications Samsung Alias Cell Phone - Black

2 Answers

When I get calls, I cant hear anything out of my phone unless it is on speakerphone, but the person on the other end can hear me perfectly. This has happened in three different Venus' that I have had including a brand new one I just traded 3 days ago because of the exact same problems. I cant hear anything when I call my voicemail either, except if I push the voice commands button on the side and turn off the speakerphone, I can hear that out of the earpiece. Apparently no one else is having these problems so I'm beginning to think I'm just missing something obvious. Is there a hidden mute button I dont know about or does anyone know how to fix this? When I answer my phone I can't hear anything that the person on the other line is saying unless its on speaker phone. Sometimes I'll be able to hear them for about 10 seconds before the speaker cuts out. It's not on mute, and I can hear them when I'm on speakerphone, but I prefer not to use speakerphone, especially when I'm in public places or my office.

when i get calls i cant hear anybody unless its on speaker and its happened to two of my alias's

I was in the middle of a text and answered a call, I flipped the phone to talk and the earpiece just stopped working. The phone call was not ended but my screen went back to my wallpaper, I flipped it back (my speaker automatically turns on) to finish my text and the person was still on the phone talking.

First Alias replaced under warranty for the exact same problem, as described above. Now the replacement phone has the same problem- that's two phones in 18 months. If there is a fix, I would love to hear it, but this sounds more like a design flaw than a random problem or some setting that just needs to be changed or software upgraded.

Did you change your earpiece setting on the my settings menu, it's under Sound settings. you can change it to low to high. And when you answer the phone, you traditionally answer it the portrait way?

Can only use speakerphone to hear caller's voice on my iPhone

It's usually caused by a defective or dislodged electronic module that sits behind the ear speaker, this should be covered under warranty unless there are visible marks of the drop. If you're not covered, you can try a iphone repair guide websites, there are also places that sell iphone parts.

Dropped phone to many times and........

I am also using motorolla v3 razer, when I dial a number, I can't hear any sound or ring, but they can receive my call. If someone call me, the phone ring, but when I answered it, I can't hear the caller. I have check the volume setting and call setting. What I did was reseat the phone components. Turn it off, and then remove and return the battery, memory card, and the sim card. It fixed the issue. I hope this can fix the issue you have.
