The HP support website doesn't specify that you would be able to do that. Normally, in the scanning preferences from where you scan/preview the document, you would have a radio button to tick for multiple pages.
Alternatively, you can use this site to combine your PDF files into a single one: http://www.mergepdf.net/ Simple click Pick PDF, select your files and then click Merge PDF, when it will finnish you can download the file.

I want to scan receipts to send by email. I can not get my hppsc 1315 to do anything. I have a MAC

Start by downloading the printer software for your Mac OS version from HP's site. Install the software and you'll be able to scan your receipts and save them as images. Then you can include them with your emails as attachments. The exact way you do that will depend on what program you're using to do emails.

The scan button is setup to push the scan to an application, if you uninstalled the HP scanning software, it isn't going to go anywhere. If you didn't, it will put it into your documents folder under "My Pictures" in an HP created folder.

That said, you can also go into any application, like Word. then click "Insert > Picture > From Scanner or Camera" and carry the image in directly.

HP PSC 1315, scanner and Mac os

To scan documents on Mac OS X using your HP PSC 1315, you need to download HP's "Device Manager" software which is available here : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-41992-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=374572&os=219&lang=en

I just installed the software and am now scanning problem-free.

Scanning document to be put on desktop

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00624445&dlc=en&product=374568

This explains how to scan and email a picture using the software on the CD. Is that what you're looking for? If you have HP Director installed, that should work.

If you want to save to your desktop, that's a different set of steps.

Scanner hp 1315

Hi -
I don't have a Mac, so not entirely exact on your solution. But, I do have a suggestion to try -

if you use a scanner, you probably have a photo editing software of some kind (like Photo Shop, Paint Shop Pro, etc etc). Within that program, there is an option to obtain the image from a scanner. You should be able to use that function instead. I know that with my WinXP, I could import from the scanner in Paint Shop Pro MUCH easier than trying to use the actual HP buttons on the 1315.

Please note that the 1315 will also only scan flat items well. If it is 3D, like jewelry or oddly shaped objects, you'll only get fuzzy-edged pictures. The 1315 has no depth perception, no matter what setting combination you use. Not HP's finest moment, for sure. I had this printer for a month or two before I was fed up, and went back to a separate printer and scanner! : /

Good luck!
