Question about Mitsumi (D359M3 SILVER) Internal Floppy Drive

Brand new Mitsumi internal floppy drive not recognized by Windows

I have a brand new Power Spec N100 PC in which I properly installed a brand new Mitsumi internal floppy drive. It doesn't work and is not recognized by WindowsXP Pro. I double checked installation and it's correct. I had this in a different computer for a short time and it worked just fine. What else should I do?

A thought. Do you have the SCSI cable connected correctly to the drive. It's possible it could be installed 180 degrees backwards and it won't work with any OS. Floppy drives have the SCSI cable connected backwards, or 180 degrees to the drive, compared to the IDE or SATA drive cable configurations.

Why my "MITSUMI FLOPPY DRIVE" not recognized in windows 8

You might have a driver issue, check if the manufacturer has a specials driver for Windows 8, it should work straight out of the box unless you have a connection cable issue, or you might have killed it if you wasn't wearing anti static gloves.

Does the product come with A/C adapter, drive-to-PC connector cable(s) and driver disk?

Please note the Mitsumi D509V2 Floppy drive is an internal drive and will not need an AC adapter. It should connect to the output connector of the PC power supply. These use an old 34 pin cable and you have to be careful if your PC motherboard can support this connection. Most of the present motherboards have high speed SATA interface. Also it may be hard to find drivers for Windows7 and above. So unless you have a WindowsXP PC you will not be able read it.

If there is any specific information you need please provide your question in the comments field.

Mitsumi D359M3 driver for Win Wista, 7

You shouldn't need one. You PC bios should pick up the drive when you turn your PC on.

Look in "My Computer" the floppy should be listed there.

Floppies only hold about 1.44 Mb of data Its worth mentioning that these drives are more or less obsolete now, flash/USB drive hold much more data, more now than CD's (700Mb) and
DVD's (4.7 Gb) and now with SD card usb adaptors almost as much as Blueray disks (25 Gb)

Can't find drivers for mitsumi floppy drive D3553FUE

floppy drives are installed on most newer operating systems. When installing a floppy drive, you do have to be certain the floppy driver is enable in the system BIOS. That is generally the problem when you cannot get a computer to recognize a floppy dirve.

Windows dectect my floppy mitsumi d359m3 but did install driver or could not find it

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

External floppy drive does not work on this pc, states it's missing code37

Try unplugging computer power cable for 10 minutes, if computer is a laptop also remove battery for 10 mins, so to cut power to computer, this will solve problems caused by electrostatic charges on computer usb.
If it still does not work, than it means that windows drivers for usb are not working properly, in this case you will have to reinstall the system.
