Question about Whirlpool WFW9200S Front Load Washer
When i try anything drain/spin all im getting is a clicking noise and the door still locked. Same problem. My washer is only 2 months old and the door won't open and there are clothes on the inside that I can't get to.
There is somthing in your drain pump or your drain pump is bad or both, take the three screws from the front bottom panel and in the middle you will the pump housing round and plastic you can take the cap out and it has a trap in it . get some towels ready and under pump then take out slowly make sure there is nothing inside housing if so remove it then put cap back in and start drain spin if pump sounds better then put into wash then into drain and spin to check it out to unlock the door you can do so by putting your hand up the right side behind the front panel and feel the door lock from the back unplug unit from wall of course you will feel a round flat peice of plastic at bottom of lock pull down on it and will unlock door after clearing pump and unlocking door try unit out if still acting up replace drain pump part#280187 about $120

I can a very simple part called the motor coupler...you can find the part at www.repairclinic.com. It costs 13.95. I am fixing my washing machine today, as this happened before and was the answer. Goodluck

SOURCE: Washer drains but will not spin
Does it agitate and run through the cycles? What mod.number? It may be the motor drive coupler. If it is a direct drive. The transmissions are usually not the prob. The couplers are. They are fairly easy to change. from undrneath you can remove the water pump by prying off the retaining strapps (2). Pull the pump off. Remove the screws retaining the straps (2) holding the motor and pry them off. Pull the motor off and the cooupler consists of 3 parts. 2 (usually) plastic and one rubber. The plastic may be broken or the rubber may be worn out. You can usually tell. The plastic parts also crack around the shafts and slip. They are avalible online for about $14. Usually changed in less than an hour. Trying to help but I have limited info here.

Hello ctilton2001 - This particular issue can be caused by quite a few reasons. Washer could be experiencing a communication error from the main control board, faulty door lock assembly or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Did you notice a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned or could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. You can also press and hold the start/pause and cancel button together at the same time for approximately 30 seconds to display an error code on the LED. What error code does it display? However, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the washer.
