Question about HP LaserJet 4250dtn Printer

1 Answer

Refurbished printer, black is fainter than I need

I bought a refurbished 4250dtn hp laserprinter. I need it for manufacturing and need a very dark heavy black. My hp 1006 works fine but the cost of toner cartridges is killing me.

My 4250 came with an off brand cartridge. When I print the black is not as dark (noticable). Okay for document but not for my use.

Is it the printer, the off brand? I can buy a real hp toner cartridge but they are very expensive so if it is the printer I'd rather replace it.

Can you help?
