Question about Yamaha DSP-A1000 5-Channel Amplifier
I have an old, classic Yamaha Laserdisc with Karaoke function built in, model CDV-1200K which just given to me by a friend for collection. However, there's no power indications or whatsoever, none of the LEDs lid up.... I did make sure it's switched to 120V (120V or 220V selector). I did attempt to open up the case but couldn't couldn't verify whether the power transformer is still alive or not as I don't have the schematic diagram. There're 4 wires going from the transformer to the power distribution circuitry; which I believe 2 of them for DC stepped down power and 2 for close-loop or some other signalings....but I have no way of verifying the power source... does anybody have any clues ? Please help............... Thanks and much appreciate upfront.

time delay... i dont know...seems unusual. the protection system of all yamaha PA and A/V is driven at teh same time not discrete so i dont understand why 1will be active earlier and the other delayed. in any case, a delay in relay activation is unstable center violtage or you are having an abnormal output stage, it is prducing more than 0.1 volts DC. this is primarily caused by unbalanced biased input initial stage of the main amp, voltage stability is not accurate. Or grounding getting poor.

A common problem on these amps ie no sound is due to dirty switches and tone contols, amp face needs taking off and contact cleaner needs spraying into all controls...
