One or more of your components like your wireless card or LAN card (Networking card(s)) could be set to pull your computer out of sleep mode when it wants to. Turning this feature off may stop this from happening. You can check these settings under the properties of the network connection.

I cant get the sleep mode off

Step 1: Wear your Fitbit Flex once you are ready to go to bed. Once you're ready to sleep, tap your Fitbit Flex rapidly for one or two seconds. The Flex should vibrate and show two dimming lights to indicate that you are in sleep mode.

Step 2: Remember that while the Flex is in sleep mode, it will not display your goal progress if you double tap it. Instead, the lights will alternate to indicate that it is in sleep mode.

Step 3: When you wake up, tap the Fitbit Flex again for one to two seconds to exit sleep mode. When you access your dashboard, you should be able to see your sleep pattern.
When you are viewing your dashboard, you can adjust your sleep mode setting between "normal" and "sensitive" modes. The normal mode shows you your basic sleep pattern, while the sensitive mode shows more details. Make sure you sync your tracker after you make these changes so that the Fitbit Flex can start recording in its new mode that same night.

Follow step 3 to disable sleep mode.

Acer one with windows 7 ultimate fall into sleep mode

A laptop computer is typically set to conserve battery power. One of the common settings called standby, sleep mode or hibernation turns off power to the screen and the laptop itself after a preset time limit passes without any mouse or keyboard activity. It can be inconvenient for the computer to shut down while you're working on an open page or during a download. Change the setting if you don't want your laptop to going into automatic shutdowns

Turn the laptop computer on with the power button if it's not set to turn on upon opening. Allow the system to boot up. Open the panel for adjusting the sleep settings. This varies among the popular versions of Windows operating systems. To change the sleep mode setting on a laptop running Windows XP, click the "Start" button, and click the "Control Panel" selection. Choose the "Performance and Maintenance" selection, and click on "Power Options." Click the "Power Schemes" tab, and click the drop downs next to "Turn Off Monitor," "Turn Off Hard Disk," "System Standby" and "System Hibernates." Select "Never" for each drop down in both the "Plugged in" and "Running on Battery Power" columns. Click the "Hibernate" tab and click to remove the check mark in the box next to "Enable Hibernation." To change the sleep settings on a Windows Vista laptop, click "Start," "Control Panel," "Systems and Maintenance" and "Power Options." Then click "Change Plan Settings" under the currently established plan. Click on the "Advanced Settings" tab and select the "Never" option on the "Sleep," "Sleep After," "Hibernate After," "Display" and "Turn off Display After" drop downs. Click the "OK" and "Save Changes" buttons to confirm the settings. To change the sleep settings on a laptop running Windows 7, click the "Start" button, choose "All Control Panel Items," select "Power Options" and click "Edit Plan Settings." Click the drop downs for "Turn off the Display" and "Put the Computer to Sleep." Choose "Never" for both and click the "Save Changes" button.

This might sound a little stupid, but 1 is it plugged in when you put it sleep mode, and when u open the screen do you physically have to turn it back on. Sometimes when you put a computer in "sleep mode" and its not plugged in you lose power slowly

LAPTOP WILL NOT COME OUT OF 'SLEEP' MODE

Turn it on, then wait, u will hear the computer turning itself on and off, but nothing is showing on the screen. so make it turn on and off, 3 time.( such as hearing the computer turned off, so that one,THEN IT TURNS ITSELF ON AGAIN, next time it turns off, that count as 2, and so on). on the third shut off then u press and hold the off button, to force it to shut down, then wait. about 5-10min., or less then 5. after then u turn the computer on.it should be on by now. if not try it again. if it happens again try one more time, if it happens again. then there something really wrong with your computer.

Computer not sleeping in sleep mode.

One possibility is if you have an optical/laser mouse that is on a relective surface and the mouse light is reflecting and triggering the computer to think that there is activity.

More than likely, your network card is keeping your computer from staying in sleep mode as any internet data activity is taking the computer out of sleep mode making the computer think there is activity.

There is an option in the Network Adapter properties that says to "Allow this device to wake up your computer"

Go to Control Panel and click Classic View on the left hand side

Double Click the Network and Sharing Centre Icon.

On the left hand side of the window that opens, click Manage Network Connections.

Right Click on the connected Network Connection. It is probably the Local Area Connection. Right click on it and choose Properties

A new box will open up. Click the Configure button under the Connect Using: box

Click the last tab at the top that says Power Management.

Under the Power Management tab click the square box that is beside: Allow this Device to Wake the Computer to take the checkmark out of the box. Then Click OK at the botton and close all the windows.

Let the computer go into Sleep mode and see if the computer still comes out of sleep mode on its own.

Let me know if this worked for you,

Ry
