Av flashing camera wont do any thing

take ya camera phone turn on the camera take the tv remote and point it to the phone camera lens look in the screen if u see the light from remote flashing as u press video/tv button the button is hence the remote is ok if the remote button is faulty on video it wont flash on screen if so press the tv/av on tv and u are good to go if the tv doesnt respond then the tv programmer ic is mulfunctioning and needs replacement, u may check the memory chip on tv too for mulfunctions

Try to use the default settings in the instructions or reset the settings in the camera.

"AV" means apeture priority. This means that you set the apeture that the camera will use, and it decides the shutter speed. The flashing "av" means that you've picked an apeture that the camera can't pick a suitable shutter speed for at this light level. I would suggest picking a different apeture, or switch the camera to full automatic mode via the dial on the top left of the camera.

This depends on the mode you have selected on the flash gun. If you have Multi selected you will get the strobe effect. The strobe effect is all so present to help the flash set the correct exposure. It's not a problem with the flash or the camera. Spend some time reading through the flash gun manual. I have to admit it is not always clear. Also try Youtube for a video.

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't take a picture when the shutter button is pressed, or with an inoperative flash. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

Use the sports mode, the one that looks like the stick figure running. If you also need the flash set your camera to "Av" and adjusting the Av (meaning aperture value) to the smallest number possible and turning you flash on.
If this still gives too slow of a shutter speed, try increasing the ISO setting.

I found on some lenses you need to go into the menu , select settings and change av appurature setting to 2 instead of 1 .

I've got the same problem. The problem is that the lense is loosely attached to the body. What you need to do is that when you see the Av flashing, press the lense of the camera to the body and twist the lense to the left a bit. This tightens the connection. You can then take the photo.

The set is shutting down because a problem has been detected. Replacing the remote will not help. Count the flashes and call a JVC servicer to get an idea about what the specific problem may be.
