Question about HP Audigy SB023 Sound Card
I installed a new power supply and now I have no sound. I reinstall the drivers and still does not work. I have a Creative Labs model number SB0230. I'm wondering if I may have forgotten to hook up a cable. Right now the only cable that is hooked up to it is going to a connector labled SB1394. Of course I also have the cable going to the speaker plugged in. Maybe I wipe the card out with static?
If I were you I would shut down the computer, completely remove the card from the computer, reboot. Make sure you go into the device manager and look and see that everything about the soundcard is removed from there as well..
Turn the machine off and reinstall the sound card, Verify all your connections, and then turn it back on and let windows re-detect and install your drivers as needed.
You do not have to hook up that cable you have been talking about, it is not needed. Just make sure your speakers are plugged in to the right speaker output jack on the back of the soundblaster card.
