Remember, the PS3, while it will let you surf the web, is not a strong computer. It won't let you update flash player, thus won't let you view some web pages.
he Dell I'm using also has an adaptive brightness, regardless of the fact it does not have a light sensor. It just changes brightness of the screen depending on how much white/black is shown at that moment. Whenever I switch from a very dark to a very bright website I notice and increase/decrease in screen brightness. I'm running Windows 7 by the way.
Good Luck
1- Disconnect the PS3 from the internet.
2- Turn the standby switch off so the red light turns off too, then you turn the system back on
3- Then place your finger on the power button for a total of 4 beeps to
access the recovery menu. It might not work on the first attempt but it
will on the second.
4- The display will instruct you to connect your controller to the PS3
and press the enter button. A list of menus will appear on your
display. The choices are as follows: Restart System, Restore Default
Settings, Restore File System, Rebuild data base, Restore PS3
5- Select Restore Default Settings.
im having this problem right now, when its on press and hold the power button until it turns off( the light is red) then hold the power button for 1 beep then u'll hear 2 beeps then u'll go to a menu where it asks you to plug in a controller but this is where im stuck so you can try experimenting if u want but hopefully someone will find a proper solution
Quick call and its fixed.... Whilst the PS3 is in stand by (red light on) press and hold the on button. Wait until it peeps slowly three times then take the finger off the button. This opens up a factory reset. Work from the top down and see which one fixes your PS3. For me it was a full reset, but at least it keeps your updgrades. :o(
I am not familiar with your particular model, but I do know what the problem is.
The inverter that runs the lights behind the screen is faulty and needs to be repaired. The lights shine from the top and bottom and reflect outwards through the panel so you can see what is on the screen. If you start the computer up, then shine a bright light into the panel you will see an image on the screen, but very feintly.
This can be cheap, it can also be expensive depending on where you go to get it repaired. Call aorund to a few TV shops in your area to get a rough idea on prices.
