Question about Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS Receiver
Pusing the on botton and the words Magellan came up but immediately went back to a blank screen. It did this a few times and now nothing will show. I plugged it into power and still nothing. Did the reset button and still only a blank screen.
I have a 4250 that every so often the message would come up like I unplugged it, the one asking for a yes or no to go to stand-by. Then it just wouldn't turn on, I plugged it into my computer and the car lighter but nothing. Since it is a refurb I opened it up to see if anything was obvious, There was, the solder points for the power switch were cracked and loose. Bad solder job at the factory. I re-flowed the solder with a cheap soldering iron I have and it powered right up. I will post how I did it at my web site when I get a chance. www.mprovencher.com.
